    CyndiM,

I'm starting to get around on these threads/postings and realized I can subsribe to the ones I have posted something to! Woo Hoo! So, I looked at your profile and found this one! Wow, you are such an encouragement for me. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I'm 5'1" and have quit a ways to go but I hope to be where you are next year. Thanks again!
  • Great post! Congratulations I can't wait until I'm down to my goal weight and I can post something like this!
  • what a great story for me to read 3 days into the plan. i had TKR in one knee last November. i did well, but even so, it was no fun. The other knee isn't as bad but it is the thought that i might require yet more in the future that has made me get serious. i had always feared SBD, thinking it was like Atkins, which i tried once and got very sick on. But really, the phase 2 , when i get there, reminds me of an updated version of the 1971 Weight Watchers, which is the only diet i ever lost on. That you have succeeded past 45 is also encouraging. Thank you.
  • Congrats!!! You're an inspiration and posts like this keep me motivated!!! Go girl!!
  • I hope to write a similar post in a year. WTG!
  • GREAT POST!! This was so inspiring. I took it to heart. I'm destined to see you in onederland one day.
  • Thanks for all the encouragement I forgot all about this post. It's now been 4 years, who would have thought?! I can't say it's really gotten easier but it's just become habit. I hope that sticks because I now see myself as the fit, healthy 50 year old I am and can't imagine back-sliding. There's not a slice of pizza or dessert in the world that's worth being where I was or where I would be without SBD and the Chicks around here. As I often tell people - I am the only 50 year old I know who takes no prescription meds, just Vitamin D and cinnamon. I can keep up with almost anyone on a bike or on foot, never take elevators and usually have energy to tackle anything and I'm not achy all the time anymore. It has been so worth it.
