Default Maybe a great new product??

Hey ladies. I found a great new product out there that seems to be SB friendly and Phase 2 safe. Its from McCormick, the spice people. Its called Crusting Blend. I bought the Italian Herb and cheese and made it tonight on salmon and it was fantastic.
Low in carbs, no sugar and whole wheat is the only "breading" in it. They have some great recipes on their site too. I just put a little olive oil on the salmon and pressed some of the Crusting Blend into it and baked in the oven for about 20 minutes. Delicious.

Here is the product info for the italian herb and cheese:

Ingredients
WHOLE WHEAT PANKO BREAD CRUMBS (WHOLE WHEAT FLOUR, YEAST, SUGAR, SALT), SOY GRITS, PARMESAN AND ROMANO CHEESES (PART SKIM MILK, CHEESE CULTURES, SALT, ENZYMES), GARLIC, ONION, SALT, HERBS AND SPICE, RED BELL PEPPER, ENZYME MODIFIED PARMESAN CHEESE (MILK, CHEESE CULTURES, SALT, ENZYMES, CALCIUM CHLORIDE), WHEY (MILK), TOMATO, LACTIC ACID, AND NATURAL FLAVOR.

Nutritional Information
Amount Per Serving : 1 1/3 Tbsp. (11g)
Calories: 40
Fat: 1 g
Cholesterol: 5 mg
Sodium: 390 mg
Carbohydrates: 5 g

Think its pretty safe??

I've tried it as well, tastes quite good. I've used it on fish quite a bit.

It seems ok for P2...

Where do you find it? The bread crumb isle? Or in the seasoning section?

I've found it in both places....and I've also found it by the condiments....you may just want to ask.

I'll probably have to. I can't find ANYTHING in our new Super Wal-Mart. Never heard of such a small town having a regular Wal-Mart and 2 Super Wal-Marts, but I'm glad they put one on our side of town so we don't have to drive 20 miles to get groceries for cheap.

Yes and being that you are from right around here, I found it at Acme in the seasoning and spices section. I want to try the french onion one on a nice filet.... yum!

From the looks of it this product seems good in P2 as well. But you would only eat one serving of it though. I think after a few table spoons the carb count goes out of wack.
