Thumbs up Number 1 SBD tip.... What's yours?

Hey guys.... I just feel chatty today so I thought I would start a thread for the tips you have learned while on SBD. I am interested in learning from those who have been working their plan for a while....

I have check out the frequently asked questions sections and reciepes... I am all set to move to P2 tomorrow.

I just love hearing what has helped others.

Use the oils and nuts suggested. Helps you feel real full, improves your blood lipids, and actually helps weight loss.

Oh & eat plenty of protein. That was a big change for me from counting points/calories & not wanting to eat too much. Much more satisfaction with diet & not wanting to overeat. I don't think about food all day anymore. Big change for me.

Always remember your beans - they fill you up and are full of good stuff

Default Good Stuff!

This is great so far guys.....

I have yet to try the famous/infamous taco bake.... Maybe I shouldn't eh? LOL I have checked out the recipe and will probably make it soon....

I just finished folding 3 loads of laundry and I now I am going to vaccum. It is my nephew's birthday and people are coming over soon... I am trying to help my mom clean up a bit. (I am babysitting my nephew at my mom's house. I am so I can wash my laundry... I dont have access to washer/dryer at my apt. Mom is nice to let me wash here for free! LOL)

Lori - we add black beans to the taco bake in addition to the refried beans. We also add them to eggs, throw them on top of salads, smash them up with garlic and parsley (think mashed potatoes)....lots of things to do with them...and after awhile your body gets used to them and doesn't get as gassy.

--

My favorite tip was to plan also, I cut/chop/prepare everything the night before and make sure I have everything I need for the day ahead. It is much easier to choose a healthy snack if it is already prepared.....and easier to choose chips if I have to wash and cut the veggies before I eat them as a snack

Also, being patient and not weighing everyday REALLY helped.

Planning is key.

The other one that really seems to make a difference for me - make sure you eat your veggies, all you can get.
