Thanks Guys. I planned already to find out from her why she's leaving. He said she's been there twenty years. I'll see if he's lying or not! And get a feel from her if things there are cosher or not.

today was nice and relaxing for me! Today was my last day of dog-sitting for someone that lives down the street. The weather was beautiful, so I took the dogs to a field where they could run around, and I laid in the grass and sun for a while just enjoying the warmth! :)

Hello Chickee's This morning was my weigh day... down 1.4 lbs this week. I'm down 19 lbs in 6 weeks. Gotta run....I'm late for work, hope everyone is having a great weekend!
|
Congratulations Lori, yeah I would just find out the lay of the land on Monday and proceed from there, could be minor but either way you got over the hurtle. Yeah.
|
Congrats on the job Loriann:congrat:

What a chatty bunch! Weekends are usually slow in here.
Just a reminder: If you are past two pages, check out http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/showthread.php?t=140732 and adjust your profile. Yesterday was a pretty relaxing day - no social engagements except talking to people at the market and the groomer. (I sound mean but sometimes I really feel I want to be a hermit!) Loaded up on produce and now need to deal with it. It's hard for one person to eat a basket of peaches so I'll be freezing some today and making a peach crisp for my company stash. My Hershey is looking pretty terrible after her major haircut but probably feels a lot better with all the matted fur gone. Keith wanted to give her a second bath after the "unveiling" but she seemed tired so we will do that on Monday. Church this morning and then off to Kingston with Disney for her class. I'll be home by three and work in some porch time. It's pouring rain right now but will be pleasant out there. How does your Sunday look? |
Loriann congrats on the job, hope it works out well!
Indigal :carrot: on the 16 pounds, you rock! HMA congrats on the collar bones, they are still my favorite body part! I'll be headed out soon to pick up DD, I think I will stop at Trader Joes while I am in Indianapolis, it is the closest one around. We had tossed around the idea of going to the state fair while we were up there and checked to see who was performing up there tonight........The Backstreet Boys, you have got to be kidding me, aren't they a bunch of old men now that can't hardly be called boys??? Oh well, I don't need the fair food anyway! |
Good morning Ruth :)
You could dry some of those peach slices too! I like to throw a tray in whenever I get more than I can eat. My new favorite breakfast involves 5 grain cereal, a whole peach sliced up. 1 T almonds, 1 T rf coconut, and some vanilla protein powder. I'm bringing the fixings with me to my parents! I hope Hershey's haircut makes her more comfortable and helps you get to the bottom of her problem. Loriann - :cp: It's gotta be nice to know you've got something even if it doesn't end up being a long term fix. I'm working through the huge to do list before heading out for a few days. My parents only have very slow dial-up so I probably won't even be able to load 3FC. It should be a bit challenging food wise. I want to bring my own food. My family is Italian and that doesn't go over well. The hardest thing is my Mom is really trying. She bought me salmon for the grill and is making two veggies for dinner. Unfortunately she made a marinated veggie salad with a fat free dressing. I imagine there's no chance it doesn't have the dreaded hfcs in it :( I'm planning and prepping and hoping for the best. What's on your schedule for the day? |
Good morning Ruth, and the rest of you Chicklets! It's a clear, cool morning here, but they're calling for T-storms this afternoon. Not what I want to hear, they'll be a passle of little ones here who are looking forward to playing in the pool. I might have to send them all downstairs to the playroom. ;)
Jake isn't feeling too good this morning, so we may skip breakfast with the gang and just go walk around Walmart, I have to pick up some wrapping paper and a few other things. I'm going to keep my fingers crossed that the storms pass by us this afternoon for the party! :crossed: Morning, Cyndi! Have a safe trip and enjoyable visit with your parents. SBD can work very well with Italian food, just as long as you only use ww pasta, or stay away from it completely. I know most Italian families love to push the food, though! Good luck! |
. CyndiM. I just wrote in my blog that I should dry some of the peaches! They would be yummy in oatmeal in November! I managed to slice the zukes on my mandolin without slicing my fingers, by the way. :) I couldn't find the holder thingie so just pitched the stubby bits into the compost.
Cottage, I hope it clears for you. My, you certainly always have a houseful. I hope Jake recovers quickly - it should be illegal to be feeling lousy on the weekend! |

Good Mornin ladies. I'm exhausted, hope to get more sleep tonight. My son spent the night here last night with a friend of his. I made the taco bake last night using the pesto instead of paste, and black beans instead of refried. Those boys polished off the entire pan! So much for leftovers! My son warned me into the second bite, "Don't plan on left overs mom." What a compliment to the person who created that dish. My son is by far the most finicky person, and his friend is allergic. He's even allergic to tomatos and dairy (the cheese). But he's been strict so allowed himself for some of this.
Today I have planned a few OP things... I have a friend coming over to pick up a couch from me and asked her to stay for dinner. They live an hour and a half away so we don't see each other too often. She's bringing sweet potato casserole and salad. I'm making old bay chicken (she's never had it.) and corn on the cob. I'm allowing for a table spoon of her caserole and half ear of corn :). But I know I'll enjoy the company! |
Lorianne - Congratulations! I hope it turns out wonderfully.
I finally got the pool filter cleaned yesterday. I hosed the four cartridges with a high pressure hose, let them dry in the sun and then used a toothbrush to brush the "gunk" out of each one of the pleats. It took hours. The pool looks so much better now that I don't have hundreds of leaves going in it. I'm glad I got the tree taken out. Now I just need to pay the $759 bill that came for taking the tree out! We watched Olympics all day yesterday. It's back on now. Other than church and grocery shopping, there isn't much planned for today so maybe I can work on my stuff for Wood Badge. I've finished everything I need to prepare for Roundtable. |
Good morning chicks, sorry I've been scarce, but things are hopping right now. Hopefully life will slow down a little once the week begins.
Today we are having a birthday BBQ for my nephew who turns 16. And the nephew and niece will spend a couple of days with us. My house is a disaster so I need to make sure there is a decent place for them to sleep. Hope you are all having a great weekend. I found so many yummies at the market yesterday. What do you guys do with Swiss chard? littlechick, glad you popped in! We've missed you! Loriann, congratulations on the job. Hope it works out well for you. Kim and Cyndi, have safe trips. Have a relaxing Sunday everybody! |
Morning everyone! Just whizzing in to say, adios! I'll be back online for sure next Saturday! Wish me luck - I have to pass this course and stay OP while there!!
|
Good luck Kim! Nice to see you!
Good morning everyone else! I love the black bean "stoup" that Rachael Ray came up with, but the pot calls for an entire large onion, and I always end up smelling like the stoup the next day. Pfffeewww. Minus maybe an extra handful of almonds yesterday (I couldn't help myself) I think I did alright. My non-beachy snack pre-store, then cheese stick, stoup, salad with veggies, cottage cheese, cashews/almonds, a few roasted chickpeas (just to sample them.... I needed more seasoning,) and 2 soy dogs. I think once I get hungry here (I can't eat first thing in the morning) I'll make a cheesy omelet, fake bacon, and have a mini low-sodium V8. Mmmmm. Breakfast. Otherwise, gonna head to Tom's mom's house for a little while and visit with her and his aunt. Hopefully the rest of the day will be relaxing. And hope you girls have a great Sunday! Headed to poker last night. Had a really good time, as always.....Drank too much wine, as always......broke even.
Today I've got church this morning, then brunch with friends from work, and then, if my hubby's up to it we're finally going to see the Dark Knight. I really need to run, but have a good one, all! |

Hey Pearl! Wave when you get to town! We thought about going to the fair today too but I'm not sure if we'll make it out there or not. I heard a rumor that admission is only $3 but don't know if that's true or not. Hope you have fun!

CAN'T do personals as company is due any moment. But I received a call today from my boss. I'm not starting tomorrow, he wants to get a few things done before I get there. I start Tuesday. It's alright as there's a few things I need to do as well. This whole thing is super strange!
