Finally getting settled into our new house but have been completely off the beach for about two and a half weeks. Starting all over again and hoping to move into Phase 2 in two weeks. I just have to stick with it and make smarter choises... just a little frustrated....
I'm almost done with the first week of Phase 1, hopped on the scale to peek yesterday morning at was down about 5 pounds, don't want to update my ticker just yet, Official weigh in day is Weds....also started TOM yesterday so I'm staying away from the scale for now, I tend to gain a few around this time and would hate to feel discouraged so early. Hope everyone has a good week and welcome Pammy!
I started Phase 1 today also. I did SBD 3 1/2 years ago and lost 40 pounds and told myself I would never go back to the "old" me. Well I gained about 35 of that 40 back and am determined to get back on SBD. Once I get past the first couple of days I think it gets easier. Good luck to everyone.
This is my first day of Phase 1. I have a headache which I am assuming is normal due to the fact of my body being in shock from less carbs. My whole diet before was carbs. I am really pumped in changing my lifestyle. So far I realized I used to take in atleast 200+ carbs a day. Way too many! Just my breakfast which was a bagel was 56 carbs.
I started my weight loss program last August in which I did Weight Watchers until June of this year. I did lose 29 pounds. On June 11th of this year I started watching my calories and lost another 12 pounds.
I am now ready for bigger and better things like this South Beach plan. I am not only keeping track of my carbs but I am also keeping track of my fat and calories. If I didn't do this I would have only been consuming 400 calories a day so yall be careful. You can really eat a-lot on this plan. You just have to be wise about your choices. Turkey is so good for you. I have to eat 24 slices tonight to get all my calories in which is still only 2 grams of fat and 4 carbs.
Weightloss2007, I have been on SB for about 3 months and doing great, but hit a bit of a plateau and have also started "counting calories"..kinda. I decided to start tracking everything with fitday (the one you install on your computer) It helped me see the percentages of fats, proteins, carbs etc and I was shocked to see how much my fat percentage was! So over the last week, I've been upping my protein which was really low and it has really broken that plateau and shaken things up a bit.
So nice to see another Bayou girl in the group!!!! Soggy enough for you lately? I think this rain will never end!!!..and last year was that horrendous drought! Lessez le bon temps rouler (with moderation!)
Hi everyone, was just so thrilled to have a 7.4 pound loss my first week I wanted to share with everyone! I'll be so thrilled to get into the 180's (haven't seen that in a few years) I have to say, I'm doing much better my second time around....drinking more water and adding in a little strength training this time, and I feel GREAT!
I have been amazed at how well this is going. I am not really suffering from hunger, would love something sweet, though.
All the rain we are having is not helping though ,makes me think how nice it would be to sit in front of the TV and eat CAKE, or maybe a bag of chips...hummmm
Anyway, people have said SB has too much cooking , is to much trouble ,costs to much, thats not what I find.
I have enjoyed experimenting with recipes. Cost wise its cheaper than some I have tried. You can always get the premade dinners, which are very reasonable.
anyway ,have a good day everyone!
