Does anyone mind sharing their SBD results? I would like to know how much you lost and how long you have been doing it.

Thanks a bunch!

Sure, would love to. Since January 1, I've lost a total of 42 pounds, 33 of which are due to a combination of the South Beach diet, plus exercise and other diet tips.

From January 1-14, I lost 9 pounds just by drinking 10 glasses of water a day and not eating fast foods or packaged snacks. Then, on January 15 (MLK day) I started the the South Beach diet and the weight came off a lot faster. I lost 16 pounds on Phase I alone.

Right now, I average between 2-5 pounds lost per week, minus a few slip ups here and there. The good carb/good fat combo works GREAT with my lifestyle and taste preferences. (Give me a diet that let's me eat cheese and peanut butter, and I'll be your slave for life.)

Also, the exercise REALLY helps. I try to work out 3 times a week. If I could have a perfect week on Phase II with all my planned exercise and no slip ups, I bet I could probably lose 5 pounds a week on a regular basis. But I'm not perfect, and sometimes I just can't make my exercise class due to work. So, I plan around it, and try to do better next time.

Bottom line, the South Beach diet + exercise rocks! Good luck to you.

I've been following SB since the end of January and have lost 55 lbs.
I have "dieted" more times than I care to remember, and this way of eating
is the best and easiest for me.

Good luck on your journey

I've been on SBD since the middle of February and I've lost twenty lbs. I could probably lose faster but I prefer the middle of the road when it comes to eating so I don't get burned out! For exercise, I walk about a mile in the neighborhood in the evenings.

I'm on day 11 and have lost about 7 pounds. I'm kind of stalling, which I think is because I'm not eating enough, but I've definitely lost inches. I've noticed it a bit right under my chest but I didn't measure myself before I started.

But MORE importantly, I feel much healthier and alert- and my skin has cleared up quite a bit!

I started SB about 6 weeks ago and weighed myself a few days ago for the first time and had lost 18lbs. I really am loving SB...I can still cook things my family likes and be good at the same time!

I have been on SB since the end of January and have lost 24 lbs- slow and steady but it is coming off, the best thing is still getting to eat Fruits and Grains and Dark Chocolate and still seeing the scale move down each week and the inches are coming off as well. This is a way of life and I do not feel deprived at all.

This is the end of Phase 1 for me and I have lost 5 lbs. Not in a hurry to lose fast> I want it to stay off as long as I lose 1 to 2 lbs a week I am stoked
