If I find P1 foods that I love, I will definatley carry them over to P2. I have been crusing the web for some other SB friendly recipes and found one site with tons of recipes that sound good, but all the discussion about them over there is just confussing me. I may have to post some of them here to see if they are okay.

Good Afternoon Chicks!

I'm moving right along to the end of phase 1. I feel fantastic about doing such great things for my body too. I still weigh daily and have not gone a day during phase 1 without a change on the scale in the right direction. I need to prepare for that not to be the case. I may have a hard time the first time I see it didn't move but I keep telling myself its coming soon.

I've felt thinner during the first week and my pants are a little loser but last night and today I just feel fat again. I don't know why, I wonder how much weight I will need to lose before I won't feel like a fat chick

Day 2 here. I'm going to try remember to come here each day and log what I had to eat that day to keep myself accountable for what I put into my mouth.
I'm open to any suggestions and comments on what I'm eating and any advice anyone might have.

B: Cottage Cheese, SF jello
S: Beef jerky (I have a question about this too-- see below)
L: Salad (w/ grape tomatoes, 2% shredded cheese & SB Italian dressing), Green Beans, grilled chicken breast
S: Celery, 1 Laughing Cow wedge (Light), 1/2 c. tuna salad
D: Pinto Beans, 2 slices 2% cheese slices
H2O: 192 oz so far
Workout: did some outside work, hoping to do some time on the CardioGlide this evening.

Now, for my question about the beef jerky. I thought it was ok to eat, since it was so high in protein, but today (after I had already eaten it) I was reading some of the SBD material I have and jerky was listed on the "Avoid" list (unless it was homemade without sugar). I checked the package and the sugar was 2g.

So is jerky a no-no? I don't want to untentionally sabatoge myself.

Hi!

Oh I should have posted all my annoying questions here! ;) I'm on day 3 of Phase 1, and having MAJOR sugar withdrawal.. which is NO fun. I'm also having major anxiety over food, such as, I REALLLLY want Taco Bell:o but I know I can't have it :( stuff like that, so I'm pretty much withdrawing from all the junk I shouldn't be eating. I'll be glad in the end when I'm losing weight and looking and feeling better

Kim - You should avoid the beef jerky especially in phase 1. I believe it is usually pretty high in sodium too.

Trish, if you're craving Taco Bell, try the Taco Bake from our Phase 1 recipes, it's delicious and should help take care of those Mexican food cravings. :T I love the Chicken Enchiladinis recipe, too.

Thanks Barb. I marked it off my list and hid it in the back of the pantry. :)

Okay, day 5 here. No change on the scale from yesterday, but I think a 5 lb loss since Monday is wonderful. Even if I don't lose any more weight for the rest of P1, I'll still be carb-craving free! Yay!

I had a big backslide yesterday as I ate 5 reese's pb cups (the minis) and a small slice of Easter cake at work. I bet that's where the lack of change on the scale was. One more mess up and I'll add another week onto P1, but for now I'm going ahead as if it didn't happen. Just need to be better.

Well DH, just pulled up so I need to help him with the groceries. Have a great Friday!

Kim~ I had a backslide yesterday to, but mine was bigger than yours. I ate dinner at Huddle House and had a philly cheese steak sandwich, sweet potatoe fries, sweet tea, a few bites of my daughters waffle and an apple blossom. That's what I get for not eating lunch or afternoon snack. Bad me. Oh well, I'm back on the wagon today.
