Default Revisiting the Beach

So I did this diet last year and have been away from it now for about 9 months. I don't know what happened but I really need to get back on it. This was the only diet I have ever actually lost weight on within the first two weeks. i think with the diabetes in my family and whatnot cutting out the sugary stuff would be good. Anyone that wants to give me encouragement have at it. I am sick and tired of being fat and want to be skinny again. I am in my sisters wedding next year and want to be beautiful walking down the aisle before her. I am glad I have a year to shape up...I would be too embarrassed to walk down now..I'd look like a blob. Regardless of her wedding I need to lose weight. I'm done. Help me achieve my goal everyone. thanks.

Good morning and back. Please join us in the Daily Chat and the Phase I Start threads. You already know the ropes so should not have any problems.

Your sister's wedding is good motivation but the threat of diabetes is even more of an incentive to get slimmer.

Silver!

I agree with Ruth...the diabetes is a GREAT incentive...but planning for your sister's wedding, since it's a year away, is a good goal setter, as well!

Good for you for taking the initiative to take care of yourself. But be aware that you rarely lose as much as you did the first time when you do P1 again. Think of it more as a detox time to get your ready for losing in P2, okay?

Welcome back Silver,

I'm also back on the beach after about 9 months off. I've found that I need to be even more strict than the first time around, but I'm not having any problems losing weight. Hopefully you won't either! I'm sending lots of good fat loss vibes your way. You can do it!

Welcome back!

My doctor recently told me I was prediabetic and recommended that I go on SBD, so here I am! It should help with your diabetes and overall wellbeing - not to mention looking snazzy at your sister's wedding.
