Preserving tomatoes (Jayde?)
 

My tomato plants are absolutely brimming with green tomatoes. I cannot wait til they start ripening up! I've had a few early cherry tomatoes already and they taste so sweet. I've also got Romas and some sort of big ol' beefsteak. *sigh* August in the veggie patch. Is there any better time of year? :goodvibes: I'm looking for recipes/methods for preserving tomatoes. I've done the basic chopped before and that's all good because I use them ALOT but does anyone have anything a bit more exciting?

You can blanche then freeze, or can them. Do you want info on these methods?

Yes, I'd love it. I actually have more room to freeze things than to keep them in a cupboard (silly old Victorian houses have absolutely NO storage!). I do alot of freezing already of things like green beans and pumpkin and whatnot bu I didn't know you could freeze 'maters. That's good to know!
