whoo hoo Angela!! 12's are awesome:D
And remember, at the end of the day it's still calories going in vs calories going out so 1 croissant can't pack on the pounds, the most it can do is trigger naughty cravings. Just move on and enjoy some delicious fruit and wine today :carrot: |
Thanks Batmomm!! Any lower size is a good size :) :) ....And you reminded me about the wine too! I was so excited about fruit that I completely forgot about the wine!
Not much to report on excercise as I am only a walker today. Not too exciting, but at least it's something. |

I spent most of the day exercising (yoga, ball, mill.. same old stuff) and shopping for yummy food. I am pooped. And getting hungry. |
Hello gang,
Wish4fit - Your early morning walking/shopping trip sounds delightful! Congrats on the 12's! How exciting! Yesterday I ran/walked on the treadmill for 48 minutes, did my twenty minute Turbo Jam workout and my abs dvd with ball exercises. Today I did the 45 minute Turbo Jam workout. Turbo Jam is kicking my butt...in a good way. |
Hello, hello all :)
I finally get to post that I actually went to the gym and that I actually weighed - AND that I actually got to move my ticker - YES :)! Okay, so now we know the Sonoma book is legit. In the maintenance section of the book it says if you go out of town or just over-indulge a bit and you end up gaining some weight back, you can just go back on Wave 1 for 10 days and the pounds should come off. Well, I am living proof that it works! I am back to my original weight loss after my 10 days on Wave 1 and doing the summer challenge :)! The gym was under construction for weeks so they could put an AC in. I went today and was happy to see that all sections were re-opened and supposedly fully AC equipped. However, do ya think they turned it ON??? It was hotter than EVER!!! How annoying......Duh! Jayde - you are right, walking does count. I just have this attitude that if I'm not dripping in sweat it's not counting. Of course, it all counts though! I need to remind myself more often...So Thanks for reminding me :)! Over52 - The early morning shopping was a riot! I'd never gone to one of those crazy wee-hour sales with hundreds of women snatching items off of shelves in a complete frenzy......Strange experience, but I loved it! :) Talk to you gals soon.... |

As far as the shopping experience goes... better you than me.. I'd have to count that as exercise.. cause I'd get physical or run off! :D I absolutely hate crowds and shopping. |
Oops....Thanks Jayde :). What with all the excitement of moving my regular ticker and my challenge ticker I totally spaced the profile. Too much updating at once!
|
Wish4fit - Congrats! You'll hit the ten pounds before you know it!
Today I ran two miles on the treadmill straight (first time ever running that far) and walked one and a quarter miles for a total of 45 minutes. Then I tried Turbo Abs Jam and did light upper body weights. It felt so great...I was on cloud nine! |
awesome Shrinking!! Not just the straight 2 miles but that you kept on going after. Great work!
I took the Monday night version of my Xtreme Xertion class-WOW totally leg workout wher ethe Sunday verison is much harder arms...makes sense but WOW, then he says "make sure tomorrow to do some mild cardio, like biking to keep those legs moving so they don't tighten too bad or you'll be miserable" yikes i'll be in a car for 12 hours...I forsee lots of rest areas, lol |
Shrinking Mama! That's great! My workout today was on the lazier side compared to other days.. 11 minutes on the treadmill.. ok.. I don't know what is up with that either...:dizzy:
Hey Batmom.. try some walking or lunges for stretching at those rest areas... or bring a jump rope. :D |
I had kind of an easy day and just did TJ 20 minute workout and 125 crunches. However, I have big plans for tomorrow if the weather cooperates.
Jayde - "ok.. I don't know what is up with that either... " I love your sense of humor. Batmom - Hope you're having a good trip! Enjoy! |

Ok.. so big plans tomorrow if the weather holds up, huh? Then I'll do a sundance for you.. :carrot: (Think it'lll work?) I was better with the exercise today. I've decided to take it easy on the ball workouts and maybe only do the whole workout everyother day. My muscles need time to recover. Of course I should have known that... All I can say about the mill is thank gosh for my portable DVD player and good movies! Take care all.. and keep moving. |
Shriking mama - 2 miles of running AND THEN walking too?!? WOW!!! That is awesome!
Batmom - Hope you are enjoying your trip :) Jayde - Hey, 11 minutes is much better than no minutes. As you remind me, everthing counts!! I am doing a long walk with a 25 pound backpack today. It seems my thesis just has to come everywhere with me and it weighs a ton at this point. The Edinburgh "festivals" are starting over the weekend and it means the entire town will get crazy for the next month. Literally the entire city transforms into one gigantic party. I am expecting my commute time to double which means getting to the gym will take 80 minutes, so roughly 2 1/2hours round trip! Yikes!! I may need to take up jogging..... Have a good day everyone! |
Wish4fit - The party doesn't sound like very much fun for you. I hope you get to enjoy a little of the excitement when you're not commuting. Will the thesis be done before the wedding?
Jayde - The sundance must have worked because the rain stopped and the sun came out just moments before my evening walk. Thanks! I'll have to try that Suzanne Deason ball dvd again since you like it so much. So today I ran just over 2 miles in 25 minutes and then walked 20 minutes to hit 3.33 miles total in 45 minutes. Then I did TJ Abs workout and after dinner I walked at a pretty good pace with a friend for 54 minutes. I think we must have hit three miles. I'm eager to drive it tomorrow and see. I'm sure I'll sleep well tonight. Keep up the good work! |

Shrinking Mama- 12 minute miles AND all that other exercise! I knew there was a reason we don't walk together.. and geography isn't it. :) I am having a really crappy day... its all biological so I should be myself soon. Even so I kept my promise with a friend and spent the day at the zoo. She'd been looking forward to this outing all week so I didn't let on for one second that I would rather be at home in bed with warm blankets and pillows around me. So instead I complain here... hey.. its nice to have you guys to complain to. It doesn't spoil your day. Exercise and sun.. plenty of it today. I will sleep tonight! |
