I think the syrup would be okay on Wave 2, but take a look at the book and how much honey is used in recipes... like 1T for 6 servings. This breaks down to 1t a serving, if I am doing my math correctly at 6:30am

Of course the new recipe book that is out might have recipes with more, so do check that out if you find it.
Stevia would be fine too, but keep in mind how little sweeteners the recipes are using. Minute amounts. Even on Wave 2, sugary stuff should be kept to a minimum.
A better or more Sonoma-ish choice for sweetening might be some fresh strawberries, pulsed in a blender and put on top of pancakes, french toast.. etc.
