Default Also On Eggs...

I apologize for starting too many threads but I also meant to ask this question for breakfast I'm looking at that pull out that comes with the book and under protein for eggs it says 1 whole egg = 2 whites, can someone please explain does that mean if I'm choosing to use eggs for my protein what does that mean? Eat only 2 egg whites for my 75% protein? A little breakdown if someone would do for me would be greatly appreciated, thanks for all your help you guys, I'm spreading the word. Thanks again! Patricia

I think that it means that if your breakfast calls for '2 eggs,' you can substitute those whole eggs with 2 eggwhites EACH.

So for breakfast
2 whole eggs = 4 egg whites = 1 whole egg PLUS 2 egg whites

Good?

Default And So If I Choose...

To have two whole eggs scrambled with my slice of whole wheat toast does that work for Wave 1? I guess when it says 75% protein I'm having trouble gauging what 75% means. Thanks

Hon,

Don't get too hung up on the percentages. You are going to make yourself crazy. If you eat 65% or 85% protein instead on 75%, it isn't the end of the world. You just do your best guess. The main thing is to re-educate ourselves what a "normal" portion is, as opposed to the supersized stuff a lot of us have been eating.

Picture in your head maybe what a normal portion of eggs was.. say back in the 60s or 70s, this is what I tend to do and it helps me tremendously. How many eggs would my Mom have served for breakfast? 2. Maybe add a strip or 2 of turkey bacon or soy sausage to your meal.. 2 strips of turkey bacon is about 70 calories and a 2 ounces patty of soy sausage is about 50. One piece of toast. whole wheat. One english muffin.

Now breathe.. it's okay to be confused as this is a new plan for everyone. If you use common sense, you'll be fine. I promise.
