Happy ~ We booked Marival in Tucson this weekend. That's where we are going to spend out 5 year anniversary. :carrot: |
Mel, come on over! I've got some good stuff planned this week. I find that it makes a big difference if I plan and pre-cook and pre-cut where I can. Hopefully I can stick with it this week! :smug:
DonnaS, hope you feel better. :goodvibes I had awful sinus trouble a while back; recently started taking Nasonex and it seems to be working so far. Clareh, you go! :cp: What a great NSV! It means you have lost fat and have muscles. What is your secret??? My NSV is not as exiting but I'll share anyway. :dizzy: Because my scale is moving so slowly and I have my doubts about its accuracy for body-fat percentage, I measure myself monthly. This morning I measured and have lost 1" from my hips and .5" from each upper thigh. Because I am a pear-shape, these are my biggest problem areas; they have not moved much over the past 3 months so I'm happy to see this change. OK, as of today I am doing things a little differently for exercise. I am still aiming for 1 hour a day, 6 days a week, but in an effort to lose more fat I am going to do 2/3 cardio and 1/3 resistance (I was doing 1/2 & 1/2). Today was only cardio and I did 30 minutes on the treadmill and 30 minutes on the elliptical. Happy Monday everyone!:carrot: |
Pilates this morning, and I'm feeling much better.
My NSV - my husband said my face looked thinner and had a glow last night. The glow was sweat from the walk I did, but hey I'll take it. :) |
Hooray For Nsv!!!
Clare~ I love jeans stories cause they are the hardest pants to put on!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!:cheer: Great workouts too!
Donna~ Happy 5th Anniversary in case I forget!!:woo: Hope you both have a wonderful time!! Love the thinner and glowing face :flow1: Sherry~ Don't you love it when the tape measure speaks for your body!!! :hat: Congratulations on the downward trend and many more inches to come!! today is 30 :ebike: Going to do the UB every other day (M,W,F) with weekends off and see if my shoulders will tolerate it. Happy Tuesday! |
Busy Working out
I took Saturday, off and then on Sunday I did a 5 mile hike around a Civil War battlefield. It was kind of strange to imagine what it must have been like during the battle.
On Monday, I did 45 minutes of treadmill, and then an hour of Body Pump. Today, I did thirty minutes on the Gauntlet, a stair stepper from ****! Then I followed up with 35 minutes on the recumbent bike. :carrot: Needless to say, I am pretty tired, since I haven't exercised in so long. Dieting is going well, but no significant weight loss, yet. Congratulations to Clareh on the jeans. I can't wait until I get my behind in a pair of size 8 jeans.:D ~ Cate |
Donna, glad you're feeling better and congrats on the thinner face and the glow (even if it was just sweat!).
Today I did 20 minutes of weights (back and biceps) and 40 minutes of cardio (20 minutes each on the treadmill and elliptical). |
Hi,
Everyone's doing so well! All these NSVs- glowing faces, dropped inches etc.. My input for the day was 105 mins on the elliptical (this was the length of the film I was watching) |
Oh Donna your going to have so much fun!!!
Im sure y'all are wondering if I fell off teh face of the earth!!!! It's just this job hunting is consuming all my free time on the computer. I am however still exercising, yoga everyday with walk/runs. 5K race this Sunday!! Take care everyone and keep moving!! |
Happy I thought you were abducted by an Arabian prince and his 100 Knights :belly: Good luck with the hunting!
WOW!! Such ambitious exercising!! Great week everyone is having. Happy Wednesday!!! 30 :ebike: 15 RS tape |
Pilates again this morning.
|
Had a great workout this morning! :carrot:
It rained all day yesterday and last night, but the clouds moved out early this morning so it was clean and sunny and breezy and glorious! I went for a brisk walk around the largest block in my neighborhood, which took about 20 minutes. :running: So nice to walk outside instead of the treadmill! After returning home, I did a 45-minute leg workout. Lots of squats and lunges, so kept the heart rate up and the sweat coming. Following that, did some yoga-type stretches to prevent or reduce soreness in my legs over the next couple of days. :yoga: |
Mel i wish an arabian prince!! Then I wouldnt have to job hunt!!! Do you think he would let me keep my hubby, hmm probably not, so I should just keep looking for a job!!! Not to mention 2 men, gosh I would have to be crazy to want that!!
More :yoga: and running across a parking lot in heels for an interview, does that count?! |
Glad to see Happy getting exercise while job hunting!!! You're right, what was I thinking??? 2 men!!! :faint: I think that was Sherry that walk/ran :running: past me yesterday too!! and Donna is the Plilates :queen:!!! Clare must be out there prepping for her big Marathon!! While I ran around the block to get some milk:moped:, I don't think that can be counted as exercise! So..........
30 :ebike: 15 stretching~ feeling a bit stiff from the new tape. Happy Thursday!! |
No Pilate's today, we are going to go to the Rec Center tonight and do some water walking.
|
I'm still here (and have lost another pound) 5 miles last night...spinning this morning...5 miles tonight...spinning after work tomorrow.
