WELL, started on my allergy serum two days and that was it. Got really sick. Don't think my gall bladder got along with the serum. So am back to square one. Doing over the counter meds.
We have not had a winter here. No rain no snow. It is really dry and dirty. When the cattle walk in the wheat you can hardly see them because of the dirt cloud around them. The trees are getting buds on them about two months early. So will be staying in the house exercising. Need to get a routine started. |
Well Im still here, and Ive been exercising. yoga everyday, some walking, some running, and tonight is belly dancing........but lots of drama with my foreign exchange student, and so she is gone tomorrow, so I will be back to regular posting next week!!
Clareh, good luck and enjoy your half, the atmosphere at those are just awesome! Your gonna have so much fun!! :) |
Glad to see more people posting this morning!
Mel, you made me laugh too! Glad your hip is better. Hope you enjoy your weekend of meditation; please do take care of yourself. Good luck with the half marathon, Clareh. You can do it! One of my friends recently ran a half-marathon though she had never run more than 6 or 7 miles prior to that. Like happytx said, it's the atmosphere and I suspect there is a lot of energy which is incredibly motivating. Today I did one of my yoga DVDs: "Yoga for Energy." Feeling rather down and sluggish yesterday and this morning and it helped. I am ready to face the day! I'm also hoping to go swimming this evening and biking Sunday with hubby. |
Clareh - good luck and enjoy!! Hopefully the weather will be nice - as that always makes it a bit more enjoyable!!
As for me I haven't been doing a whole lot! except work!!! got a few dog walks in - but this **** week is almost over so back on track tomorrow morning!! Hope everyone has a great weekend! |
JUST CHECKING IN ON ALL YOU GALS AND TO SEE IF CLAREH REPORTED IN!
HAPPY SATURDAY AND I AM GOING TO ENJOY A QUIET WEEKEND THIS TIME!!! :carrot: LAST WEEKEND WAS MUCH TOO BUSY. GOOD TO SEE YOU ALL HERE AND "MOVING". :ebike: :running: |
Hi girls.
WELL, I DID IT:carrot: :carrot: :carrot: I didn't explain myself properly before- I wasn't walking an organised half marathon but a 13 mile course. It took us 4 hours and I had to sleep when I came home- my feet ache, my hips ache, but I can officially walk half the distance I'll need to in 12 weeks :fr: Yoga tomorrow to really stretch out. Hope everyone has a great weekend- exercise wise and generally  |
Clare~ I realized it was a practice session of sorts. Great work!!! :encore: glad you made the 1/2 way mark and lots of  for all the achy bits and pieces!!!! You Go Girl!!
I need to do some pedals today to keep warm so off I go :ebike: Happy Sunday all and hope the beginning of the week gets us all motivated :running: to move it!! |
Hey Clareh, good job on the half-marathon, organized or not!! Hope the aches go away soon.
Today hubby and I went for a nice, 55-minute bike ride along the river trail. How nice to exercise outside! Tomorrow I am going to try an "indoor cycling" class (that is what my gym calls it, but think it's the same as spinning) so will let you know what I think. Off to a birthday party now. Hope I don't eat too much cake ... |
I started my exercise program yesterday. :carrot: That is I walked a couple of miles. I don't want to join a gym or a club. I have done that in the past and I always seem to stop going for whatever reason and then I am out the money.
I get so excited about a program of exercise and then I drop out. :( It makes me feel awful. I feel like a loser, not weight though. I guess I need to find out why I do this. If I try checking in here, perhaps that will help. Perhaps an exercise buddy. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Also, how do you move the slider on the ticker? I am really forum ignorant! |
Cate- check in here every couple of days and we will motivate you.
And after a while, you don't really need motivation as you want to get up and exercise anyway! sf40- hope you love the indoor cycling and keep on peddaling Mel! I'm having a day off today. I went to yoga yesterday and then went on the cross trainer at home in the afternoon before going to eat a big meal of Roast Beef and Yorkshire Puds at my Mum's last night (with home made apple crumble) So I ate all the calories I burned anyway. Doesn't this week seem loooong already! |
SF~ I AM JEALOUS!! OUTDOORS ALREADY!! WTG!
CLARE~ ASK MOM IF SHE'LL ADOPT ME!!! I MISS MY GRAMS YOURSHIRE PUDDING! YUM! :welcome: CATE AND GOOD LUCK THIS WEEK!!! I DID 30 PEDALS, 15 BREATHING AND 15 UPPER BODY TODAY SO I AM OFF TO A GREAT START. HAPPY MONDAY TO ALL AND HAVE A WONDERFUL WEEK!!! |
30 mins of pedals.
I am on day 6 of Nutrisystem. So far so good. Weigh-in is Thurs morning! Keep your fingers  :crossed: :rollpin: WHERE DID EVERYONE GO?:coach: |
Dear Linda T,
I went to the journals to find you and I thought of e-mailing this to you. but I wanted others to see it. I have often thought that this weightloss thing had already "clicked" in my head......but then the thought became elusive again as always. Since you and 3FC began this thread along with the Sonoma threads and added your knowledge, the "click" is back and I do believe it's here to stay.
Although I am doing Nutrisystem, the Sonoma books really helped me a lot to see this really is a forever thing. I have repeated it MANY times but I can feel it in my heart now. A healthy lifestyle in all aspects is a good thing. I just wanted to say thank you to YOU and Suzanne and her sisters for some great support and caring. It's been a great journey with some wonderfully patient and supportive Worldly Friends on this website both journals and forums. I could not have done it without ALL of you. Thanks. Love, Mel :scooter: |
Morning all!
Been away for a few days - but am back now! Sounds like you've all been doing great exercising!! Good Luck with your weigh in Mel!! Great Job on your 1/2 Marathon walk Clareh! As for me - 30 min at the gym this morning (20 min on the eliptical and 10 on the treadmill)! Fighting a cold - and am hoping some gym time will work it out of me quickly!! Have a great week everyone - keep up the good work! |
Thanks Sky....I might need it!!!! Welcome backand hope you feel better soon also.
Everyone I know is sick. Some terrible bugs are going around and right now it's some kind of virus that involves many trips to the loo!!! :yikes: Hope they keep it to themselves!!! Today is 30 pedal, 15 UB stretch, 15 breathing. I am going to do it right now before I can make excuses!!! Happy Wednesday!!! Love Hump Day!!! |
