Just curious if anyone has joined this? It sounds good and I really want to; but the thing that holds me back is the 65.00 upfront they take. To me, that's a tad bit too steep. So any feedback if this is worth it would be greatly appreciated!!!
One of the first threads on this boards was just about this very topic. If you'll click to page three of the forum, you'll see the topic about the web site
Bottome line was no one thought it was really worth it, but do check it out yourself.
If you join, you will get charged automatically, and if you decide you don't like the website, you will pay a minimum of $25.00 - which I think equates to 5 weeks.
I joined, and at the end of the 5 weeks, I will cancel, I have it marked on my calendar. I just don't get any use out of it, other than recipes, and I have copied all the ones that I like. I use this site, for my support and accountability and to track my weight. The only reason that I would keep it would be for the recipes, but I have found some Mediterranean recipes on different sites, and ordered a couple of books for cheaper than the membership fee.
What are the websites where you found some good recipes? I considered joining sonoma.com, but like you, would do it just for the recipes. i need more than the ones the book offers. Let me know of any good cookbooks you come upon as well. Thanks!
I joined the website, but like others have said, I haven't really gotten much use out of it other than recipes.
There are some great resources out there for free, and my favorite source for virtually any recipe is recipezaar.com. (I think that's an okay link to post, based on the guidelines, isn't it?) My Mediterranean/Sonoma collection is at http://www.recipezaar.com/mycookbook/book/65296/ Most of these are not yet tried, and many need a bit of adapting, but there are some very good ones there.
You spend maybe $25 for a diet book, and then out comes the web site with "updated" information that you can only get if you spend *additional* money to join. The same thing happened with South Beach. It seems to me just another way to milk the diet. I wouldn't waste my money.
