Hello Ladies! I'm back to the Sonoma Diet after a years long absence. When I was doing this before, posting what I ate or what I planned to eat was an incredible tool for me in my weight loss. So where is everybody? Let's get this thread started again!
B: 2 boiled eggs, WW toast and a cup of tea
L: Turkey Sandwich on WW, with baked veggie chips
D: Baked Chicken Breast with brown rice and broccoli
Well, last night I ended up eating out with my parents. I had a grilled chicken breast, more brown rice than I should have, turnip greens and broccoli. I also really wanted a milkshake after last nights orchestra rehearsal, but I refrained. Today my menu is very similar to yesterdays.
B: 2 boiled eggs, WW toast, tea
L: Either a turkey sandwich or pbj on WW
D: Baked Chicken breast, brown rice and lentils, and spinach maybe? something green
Hi, My name is Leah and I'm new to the Sonoma Diet. (Just started Wave 1 Monday). I've seen a 1.5 pound weight loss already though..wow!

L: big salad with 2 hardboiled eggs and lt. balsamic dressing
Snack: 1/2 c. cottage cheese
D: small tilapia fillet w spicy rub, oven baked asparagus and red bell pepper, 1 cup brown rice
Cheat!: 1 frozen fruit bar- no sugar added, granola bar
B: Whole grain toast with 2 T peanut butter, cinnamon, green tea
L: Big salad w 2 hard boiled eggs
Snack: 1/2 c. cottage cheese
D: boneless, skinless chicken breast, zucchini with parmesan cheese, 1/2 c. brown rice
Hi Kali! IMO this is the best diet plan/lifestyle out there, and it really is amazing how the weight just falls off. I feel like I can always do Waves 1 and 2, but 3 is the one that gets me....so my goal is to really stick with it after I've lost the weight.
B: WW toast and 2 boiled eggs
L: Don't know yet...lunch date with a friend
D: WW pasta with red sauce that I am going to add a ton of spinach to.
This diet has been great, and the science behind it makes sense to me. I basically am using it as a tool to "re-teach" my body normal portion sizes and a low sugar diet. Today was interesting, because every Thursday is lunch with my friends and co-workers. Soooo....I'll eat a light dinner.
Food for today 4/14/11
B: whole grain toast, 2 T. peanut butter, cinnamon
L: salmon, .25 cup potato salad, endive and jicama salad w/ mandarin oranges, Dessert (whipped cream, peaches, pineapple, almonds, almond cookie) about 9 bites.
D: Big salad w/ black beans
Snack: Cottage Cheese .5 cup
yeah. I had a bigger lunch than I needed yesterday too...i had a salad w/ grilled chicken, but it had bacon and cheese on it, and I had a glass of wine. I've decided not to weigh myself until I finish wave 1, but I can see changes happening. My pasta sauce was TERRIBLE last night...I put way too much spinach in it. It was more like spinach flavored with tomatoes. so, fail.
B: ww toast, 2 boiled eggs and a cup of tea
L: either a sandwich or a veggie burger
D: broiled fish, salad and a veggie
Omgoodness. So, I had my daughters last night (they're with their Dad 1/2 the time) and made pizza rolls for THEM. Ended up having 6 of them...oops! Epic fail! lol
To counteract, I walked on the treadmill for 45 min. So the scale hung steady, but no loss. Today I'm going to get back on track!
B: whole grain toast with 2 T peanut butter, cinnamon, green tea
L: Big salad w/ black beans and lt. balsamic dressing
Snack: 1/2 c cottage cheese
D: I'm going to try slicing (lots of) zucchini with spaghetti sauce, black beans and a bit of parmesan, maybe a small amount of whole wheat noodles for my grains and a sprinkling of parmesan. Wish me luck!
I also plan to cheat with one of those fruit juice bars.....yum.
Well I've been terrible about posting over the weekend, but overall, I did pretty well! Guess it's time to start a new "weekly thread" anyway! Last night was rough...1/2 a Reuben and about 4 alcoholic drinks...but down a pound this morning anyway! I guess it's true, if you make good decisions 90% of the time (and work out) you're probably going to come out ok.
