Default Sonoma Weight Loss

Hi everyone. Let's do a check in. How long have you been on Sonoma and how much weight have you lost? Add anything else you'd like to share too.

I think I've been doing it for three weeks, but I'd have to look at a calendar to be sure. As of todays weight in, I'm down 10 lbs!

I'm happy yet scared. Usually, once I hit the ten pound mark, I stop losing, becuase I tend to get cocky, and think I can lose weight by going back to my old eating habits. Obviously, this does not work.

I feel like I'm on a mission and I'd LOVE to get out of the 160's. However, that may take longer. Hopefully by Halloween, I'll be able to lose the next 8 lbs. So far it's been helping me to make mini goals. I had hoped to lose 10 lbs by end of Sept., so I'm happy that I met that goal early. Now it gives me extra time to maintain it, and keep losing until Halloween.

It really means a lot to have other people to discuss this plan with. I'm thankful to all of you who have continued to post on this forum. Dieting alone seems harder to me, for some unknown reason.

P.S. - I read everyone's gardening posts... and I'm jealous! I have a black thumb, not a green one.

Umm.. when did I start? Well I've been on wave 1 on and off since Aug 25th, I think, but with a major transgression for the Labour Day weekend, so I started again after that. I've lost about 6 lbs, mostly in that first little while. However, I've also lost inches off my waist - not sure how many but my pants are definitely looser.

I'm happy with the way I am eating and looking forward to beginning wave 2 in a few days. I'm back to the weight I was before my long weekend (family birthdays and camping) mess-up.

I started the Sonoma Diet on Labor Day and have lost 6 lbs. so far. I didn't have the book until last week end, so I was just trying to follow as best I could based on the cookbook and want I could search on the net. I "officially" started Wave 1 on Sept. 9 after reading the book. I'm pleased with the weight loss so far. I hope my doctor is too.

Great Job guys! I'm happy to see we are having success w/this. I don't think I've lost inches yet... I should start measuring myself.

I'm actually having an easier time of this than I expected. Hope I didn't speak too soon and start going crazy and off plan.

Congrats on the weight loss!

OMG! 35 lbs! You're a rock star! Thanks for posting your FitDay link - and being a good example for us relative newbies on Sonoma.

I have to say, I can hardly believe I'm saying this but I'm actually enjoying this diet, and I'm a veteran of a depressing number of diets, most of which I hated and was counting the days to get OFF of them! OMG I don't even know why but I hated Weight Watchers with the heat of a thousand suns, H-A-T-E-D it....hated the meetings! OMG my leader was like the weakest link lady, the British one? So mean!

One time I had a PERFECT I mean PERFECT week and get on the scale, exactly the same....OUCH! She goes "are you on any kind of....MEDICATION???" I could have slapped her from here to Tuesday, word up....

Anyhow, I love the recipes in the cookbook -- I'm not hungry and except for really one TOM situation (gotta watch for that next month) I'm not that tempted to go off of it.

Val, 35 pounds is AWESOME... and it gives me hope that I can follow in your footsteps. This plan does work!

Katie, I know what you mean about other diets... counting the days until they were over. This is diet has taught me to cook foods in a flavorful way w/out adding fat. I've learned how to use spices better. I'm so happy I found this diet.

Wow, 35 lbs is inspirational. I seem to be on the 1 lb per week jag but that's okay. I just spent a bunch of time making puttenesca sauce to discover that I don't like it. That wasn't very pleasant. Oh well, we live and learn. I have to say, that hasn't happened very often on this diet.

Everything is possible!First 10 days the most difficult time after that you will enjoy this diet and yourself even more! I did cheat couple timesIt,s hard not to.....couple BD,s , Anniversary, baby shower...but I always knew that next day I will get back on my diet I wouldn't call it a diet ...I think it's more then just a diet.....it's life style!
