I occasionally read Pink is the New Blog just for fun, and today this story appeared:

TMZ has learned that Nicole Richie was arrested for DUI early Monday morning. She was booked at 4:50 AM today and was released 45 minutes ago. The booking sheet reveals Richie is 5'1" and 85 lbs. A rep for Richie could not immediately be reached for comment. We're told her SUV was spotted by two motorists going the wrong way on the 134 Freeway in Burbank.

I remember there being a post here a while back about how people try to emulate media icons and how it's even harder to do because no one is honest about their weight in Hollywood..... And here's proof of the horrible standards of beauty out there.

5'1" and 85 freakin' pounds.

Again, I say: EEEEEEWWWWW. That's awful. How is she even alive?

I love that blog.

confession: I watched her on Tyra Banks and it seemed like all the life had been sucked out of her. She seemed lethargic, unresponsive, and just generally unaffected by what was being said about her in front of her.

Isn't incredibly sad that I saw her mugshot and thought she actually looked better?

I am surprised that more of htem are not admitted to treamtment for "anxiety" or "Stress" or "re-evaluation of life" or whatever the excuse is.

Yuck! Her being so thin is gross looking too! My 8 year old daughter is like 75 pounds!

That's absolutely insane. I'm close to her height (and build, for that matter) and I weigh almost twice as much!

I'd much rather be on MY end of this deal.

Yuck, how can she look in the mirror and think she looks good? I would much rather be my size now, which is a little chunky, than be a skeleton!

i believe that there is a reason for us to have fat. if we were not supose to have any we wouldn't be able to produce it. what if she gets sick?

Keep in mind ya'll that she's confronted with Hollywood's ideas of what a woman should look like. Plus, her best pal is Paris Hilton, who is naturally skinny (I think), so imagine being next to her and being compared to her all the time. I'm not that surprised that she's so skinny, however, I am surprised that her family has not staged an intervention.
