Default Not Sure What To Do

I just found out after being sick for 4 days and eating nothing that not only do I have Gall Stones but I also have lost 9 pounds in 3 days. Probably not the healthiest.

At the moment my center has put a hold on my account because im not eating enough. While I am still trying to eat and eat on plan im having a hard time.

Do you have any suggestions of little meals I could make to get the main things in on the purple plan. I just don't want to gain a ton of weight back when I start back up.

Any ideas would help...THANKS!

Sam

Are there restrictions to what you can eat with the gall stones?

I am pretty predictable when it comes to my meal planning, and like to have mini graze meals throughout the day. I'm on the purple plan. A typical day for me:

Throughout the morning: yogurt; Silken Delight (1/2 serving) from the LA Cookbook; grapes; melba toast; light cheese; LA Lite bar cut into pieces for snacking

Lunch: salad and diced chicken or deli style roast beef usually.

throughout the afternoon: more grapes, or apple slices. Almonds for the fat. If I haven't had cheese in the morning, I may have another yogurt.

Supper: chicken, rice, veggies.

Pretty uneventful food - but it can be broken down and gets me through the day as I like to graze!

Feel better soon.

Hi Sam
Hope you feel better soon. Best place for you to get ideas would be on the Menu Thread..many of the members post what they have in a day to give you some ideas. I would also consider getting the new cookbook. It is one of the best I've ever seen and I cook often. All the meals in there are mostly shown as one serving so you don't even have to adjust the recipes, but also double easily to make two servings. I use mine almost every day and it offers great variety. When I started they had me on red and I actually found it a bit too much food to get in so they dropped me down to purple.

Hope this helps, you've done super so far!!!

If i remember right when you have gallstones mostly what the restrictions are beef, pork, corn, & dairy. So if you stay from eating those things you should stop getting the attacks for the most part till you can get in for the surgery. I know these things are suggested to stop eating because they are hard to digest.
