Default 30 Something Chat: Friday- December 1st!!!

Good Morning all!!! Had a great checkup with MD yesterday...I have lost 21 lbs since being diagnosed Insulin Resistant and being on the meds since July..Even AF visits at the normal time instead of crazy times(system never the same after pg and mc's)I will have to wait and see if my cholesterol went down(hoping so) when I get the blood results...

Just a quicky...off to work!! Have a great day all!!
PS..He even gave me an RX for "happy pills" to assist when MIL gets on my last nerve!!!(or maybe it is for her coffee????

Lauren--We are off to see the Movers this weekend and also for NY's eve...Let me know if Peter would like a DVD--I will mail it to U--autographed

Morning all.

RR~ to you on the weight loss!! That is great!!! I bet you are glad that you talked to Dr about MIL, whether you use the happy pills or you use them on her, I hope they work!! It will probably drive her nuts if she can't get under your skin, gotta love that!!!

Michelle~My goodness, you have alot going on!! sorry to hear that George is Still waiting, hope they get him off to boot camp soon. Is it still because of the meds?? Congrats on buying a house, very exciting!

Lauren~ I Cannot believe they can do that! I am SOOO sorry for you! Throwing that in ontop of everything else must have been quite a blow! to you. I hope things turn around soon! BTW, DH has been going through a bunch of tests for his Dept of Transportation physical. They sent him for a sleep study because he was so exhausted all the time, discovered he has sleep apnea, so then went for a treatment study. Got the mahine he needs and we thought that would be the end of it, but no. The place doing his physical wanted to make sure that he would not fall asleep while driving, so that brought on the test he had to do Wed. Keep in mind that he has been driving truck professionally for over 10 years now and not had any incidents....KNOCK ON WOOD(as I knock on my head). It has just been a pain to have him have to go through so much. We are glad that the problem has been diagnosed and treated and that he is starting to feel better, but it has been a source of stress for both of us because if he does not pass the physical, no more driving for him.

Lawrence~Where are you hiding???

Hello to everyone else, gotta run....got a list a mile long of things to do today, besides work!

hi everyone,
i slept on my shoulder and this morning it hurts something fierce. Maybe it was the 4 boxes of firewood i went and bought. I'm so tired from trying to sew, yesterday I didn't sew a dang thing. so tonight i'm gonna have to work my butt off sewing. Its still cold here but we're not in the snow range or anythign like that.

we lost an employee yesterday due to maternity leave, and so now i get to train someone next week on the report I do now so I can do the work that the lady who left does. I'm too tired for this...honestly. I'll be the only one doing that particular claim type, and i REALLY need a day off. won't get one anytime soon. I'm nearly in tears just thinking about it.

plus, i was promised another phone call last night and didn't get one. There better be a dang good reason from hubby this morning as to why i didn't get it. I'm sick of being ignored by the USAF...You know those idiots haven't even bothered to call ONCE since he's been gone???? i don't need anything but still it would be nice for them to remember that I EXIST while hubby is over there freezin his butt off. the bx over there won't keep stock in hand warmers, thick watch caps, or anything like that. he asked me for these things.

ok sorry for the rant i'm just a little on the frustrated side of life. I've gotta hit the shower and make some coffee....have a good day all

Default I would love to do the Friday dance....BUT...

....I feel awful! I know I'm losing weight---but I still feel fat! I guess it's AF coming up. (???) I actually have on a shirt today that I havent worn in a while because it was too tight.....oh well. What gives?!?!?

I've had a weird and crazy week. I was off work Tuesday and Wednesday, due to a family obligation and also a funeral for my uncle. Got back to work yesterday and we got hit with a major ice/snow storm. Ended up getting sent home about 3pm yesterday and basically was stuck in my house. Took over an hour-and-a-half to get to work this morning (usually takes me 20-25 min). Ugh!!

Been trying to keep up with the posts, but not very successfully. Sorry...
Thinking of all of you and hoping you're all fairing well. Seems like everyone has their own "issues" going on! Big hugs to all!!!

Holy ~ I'm so envious of your sewing abilities! The extent of my seamstress capabilities ends with sewing on a button, unfortunately! I'm actually trying to find someone to make some curtains for me. I have two small windows and some beautiful fabric.... Sorry to hear about USAF abandoning you. Hang in there, sweetie!!

Nail ~ I completely understand about the sleep apnea situation. My DH suffers from it, too. The only problem is that he has a deviated septum so he can't wear the "special contraption" for people with that condition. Ugh! Makes my sleeping very interrupted! Hope he gets it fixed soon (for your benefit as well! )

RR ~ congrats on the 21lb loss!!!! That's awesome!

To all ~ Hugs Hugs Hugs
Fondly,
fit

OH My Goodness...BURRRRRR!!!!!
On my way home from rehearsal last might it was 44 degree's!!! I KNow it got colder as I was freezing until about 1am. The new bands studio is COLD. They are all men so it doesn't bother anyone but me. I'm gonna have to wear a freekin' parka. Crazy winds day before last (like debri EVERYWHERE). Its kicked up our allergies (Mine and the boys). I'm pretty sure Logan is reacting, as he has a clear runny nose (His 1st sicky!) no fever or cough. Zack is generally medicated with preventatives so he's doin' fine, he'd be a major wreck without them. I forget who said it, but Logan is definetly "antsy in the pantsy" over the walkin' thing. If he where to go slower and steadier, he'd walk across the room. Instead he gets super excited and takes 2-3 steps and giggles and lundges. Its funny. Zack is grounded for a month...He decided to lie to his parents about his where abouts and I just happen to call his Father checking on him..."Isn't he Home with you??" Ah, no. So after I was reassured of his safety, I nearly killed him. Teenagers. Arg!
The new band is going to be really KEWL!! They have learned 10 songs in 5 weeks. We are auditioning for a "music in the parks" Gig in JAn. Pretty good $$ Yay REAL money!

Lauren~ WTH??? I'd be like "Ok...ANYBODY ELSE WANNA PIECE OF ME??!!!" Right after I smacked one of those care givers in the head.
RR~ Sounds rediculous. Even I know about ds and being touchy. Seems the care givers are the challenged ones! I'd take a pill, give two to MIl, and so on..."One for me two for you...two for me three for you..."Yay on the loss and the Dr visit!!
Fit~ I always feel fat. I actually look better in photos than I feel in the moment. I used to have just the opposite problem. Mine has a deviated septum as well (he's been hit in the nose too many times, he was a cage fighter and competitive martial arts champ)....maybe they where separated at birth?? lol You feeling better??
Holy~ Your a champ I swear. I'd be such a whiney arse if I had to deal with a fracton of what you manage, but I'm a big baby. I'm just the opposite of you, I lived in TX for 4 years and then ame back home. I miss it at times...but not the humidity. ACK!
Lisa~ See Fits comments...pictures can be a deal breaker!! Its Amazing how you can look in the mirror and say "Oh, I don't look so bad..." And then see a pic of that Moment and look sooo very different. Maybe its mirror posing??
Darcy~ DS#1 has had chronic asthma, sinusitius and severe allergies since birth. I've heard "he may still out grow this" until just recently....HE'S 14! Yeah, at this point he's keepin' it. Preventatives are the only way to go. (((hugs)))
