Wow. Everyone must be busy today - not a single post since I put the header up there almost 2.5 hours ago now. I'm just getting around to putting my posting here too, so I must be a little delinquent myself.

In about an hour and a half, I'm getting an introduction to Buddhist Shambala Meditation. I'm kinda looking forward to it, but I'm also a little apprehensive at the same time. Something new, people I don't know, place I have never been to, so it makes me a little anxious. I'm sure it'll all be fine in the end, but it's making for a rather edgy morning.

On the weight front, things were much better than they have been for the last couple days. In fact, they're so good I might get to drop my tracker back down to where it was before - especially if things keep going the way that they say they are. Yesterday was hard when I started counting (most of my) calories...but I did break the rules a little bit. Seems to me that "a little bit" didn't hurt that much on this morning's weigh in. I guess if you bend the rules a little once and a while it's not that bad.

Anyhoo - hope everyone's having a good day.
Stay strong and stay on program!

HI All,

Sorry I've been MIA, I came home Friday night to a message on my machine from the agency saying my assignment was over and I"m not to go back to the office Monday. What a way to treat someone that was there for over a year, huh? I was really upset most of the week, because I was stressed about what was going on, wondering if I was being hired or not. Then I found out on Friday that another temp that's only been there a couple months was offered a position and she was accepting. I also found out that the girl I was covering was coming back Monday. They told me they were moving my desk...lied right to my face. So now I'm on a job hunt again.

On a good note, I will be able to concentrate on ME and getting myself to the gym everyday, since my membership is paid through January, I might as well use it! If I'm not working again by January, I need to cancel the membership.

So please forgive me if I'm a little MIA for a bit.

Lauren, What a crock! Just remember it's their loss. I know it's hard to hear but I truely believe that everything happens for a reason. There is something better out there for you. Do you really want to work for a company that would do that to you? And now you have the chance to get your workouts in. Maybe something will pop up there. Either you'll meet someone or a job at the gym will open maybe. You never know.

Lawrence, good morning (it's still technicaly morning here in ET 11:56 )! I hope you have a great time today! Don't be anxious. It'll be fun.

I'm off for now. I'll check back in later. Gotta run mom around to the store. TTYL

Hello there! Quiet here today, that seems unusual.

Hello Molly and Rx!

Holy~WOW Holy, 4lbs, FANTASTIC!!

Lauren~Sorry to hear about the job, but I am with Molly, something better is just around the corner! Keep an open mind, you just never know when a great opportunity will fall right into your lap!

Great way to segway into my weekend. Last year my Nail business took a pretty hard hit when 1 Major employer closed up shop to move overseas and a 2nd laid off almost 400 employees both within 6 months of eachother. Anyway, needless to say, many people had to let the luxury of having mani's, pedi's and artificial enhancements go so they could use the funds in more necessary places like food, shelter and so on. I know it is hard to believe that having relaxing time with their nail tech did not fall a little higher on the list, but it didn't and I guess I can understand. So, on it already....I was asked if I would consider coming into someones home and doing a pedi-party while they have a wine tasting. I was not sure how this would work out, but I agreed to do it letting her know that this would be a new experience for me. Well, I cannot believe how well it went! I ended up making alot of money AND there is another girl having the same kind of party in 2 weeks and she would like me to come and do the same at hers! It definately took a while for the bounce back, but I think it was worth it and this could actually become very profitable if I decide to really promote it.

Well, enough about me, thanks for letting me ramble! Now time to get some of that dreaded housework done.

Hello all, sorry i haven't been posting, I have been reading and keeping up with everyone.

Molly, thats great that you got to get away! Its not far, and yet far enough to be a mini-vacation.

Lauren, I know how you feel. Last Monday I was called into one of the confrence rooms and told that they didn't feel like I was a perfect fit. It was okay though. I knew that I wasn't. It was still hard to hear. So I am looking as well.

To everyone else !
