Hello everyone. This is my first time losing weight with a web support group. So far, I have lost 22 lbs. on my own. I feel that I am doing pretty well, but it is never a bad idea to always have that extra support. Especially with Thanksgiving and Christmas right around the corner. In the last year alone, I have probably gained over 30 lbs. and I found out that I have high blood pressure and high cholesterol. I also had a kidney biopsy and I just turned 35 . I know if I would just make healthier decisions and exercise I wouldn't be in such poor health. I did lose a large amount of weight one time, but it was a very unhealthy way. I don't want to do that again. I am determined to live my life healthy. I am still young and I want to be able to feel that way.
Niecers, you've taken the first step! Deciding that you need to make some changes can be difficult. It's admitting to yourself that maybe you haven't been doing the right things. Hearing you say you want to make healthier decisions is fabulous, because this cannot be a "diet", it needs to be a new lifestyle to work. You sound ready, so best of luck to you!
