What posters/pictures were on your wall as a child/teen?
To start us off - I had Donny Osmond (no teasing please! )
I also was mad about make up and used to rip out pages from Vogue beauty and put them on my wall. I also had a picture of Dougall from the Magic Roundabout was was jealous of the girl also in the picture. I wanted Dougall to myself!!!
I wasn't allowed pictures when I shared with my sister so when I got my own room aged 12 I completely plastered it in pictures of The Monkees (Micky - or is it Mickie - Dolenz - phwaoooorrrrr. A few years later I ripped all those down and plastered up pictures of The Herd (Peter Frampton - phwaooooorrrrrrr!)
At 17 I 'discovered' David Bowie and his posters totally freaked out my Mum but not half as much as the Queen posters that came after - in the days when Vivienne Westwood was designing their stage outfits.
Ohhh forgot to mention - at the same time I discovered DB I painted my bedroom black - without asking Mum's permission - so that probably contributed to her freakiness about DB.
Well i used to have East 17 , backstreet boys , and the male models from just 17 magazine lol. I had a Picture of Tony Mortimar (east 17) in a frame awwww those were the days
Must be about the same age as you, Peacock, as I had Donny Osmond up there too. I used to kiss him every night!!! Mind you, I saw a photo of him quite recently and he is still quite tasty - so why the embarrassment?
Jools
I had New kids on the block (Jordan Knight)from floor to ceiling on every wall. If I would allow my 9 year old to buy mags she would have Backstreet Boys.
It was definatley NOT cool to like the Osmonds at school. The 'hard girls' went for David Cassidy and Michael jackson. I did like MJ too then but not like Donny!
By the way, Chuckleberry, my friend who was no OSmonds fan went to see some 'old timers' David Cassidy (she used to like) and the Osmonds. She said Cassidy was crap but she was very impressed with the Osmonds!
