I have not bought woman jeans in a long time.. I have been buying mens jeans since I have been over weight.
I was wondering if you could tell me what weight you are, meansurements, and what size jeans you wear?
I am 5'6", 213, and the last time my waist was measured 4 weeks ago it was 39:. I am going in to get measured this friday.
This is a really tricky one. Everyone's body is just so different. I wore a 14 at 188 (5'6). But you will find people on here that weigh the same, same height and different size. I'm a 10 at 160 and there are others in 6 & 8 at close to the same weight. The best thing (and most FUN!) is to go to a store you like and just start trying them on. There is also a big difference in brands. One thing for sure--you can't compare yourself to anyone else (I did and it made me crazy!) because everyone likes a different fit. I have a friend that likes her clothes super tight--I do not. I am of the mindset that just because you can pour yourself into something doesn't necessarily mean you should!!
I'm at 212 and I have a new pair of 14 jeans but at 222 I was a 16 so it depends on shape and where you carry your weight.
Candice - try Old Navy - they have a jean called a low rise, straight leg or boot cut, try the ones with stretch! they start at 20's. Those are the ones I tend to wear even at my heaviest I could still fit in some.
I want a pair of 14's too!! I'm at 208 now, started at 219 and I was wearing an 18. They are getting looser but are by now means falling down around the ankles.. YET!! I would vote with Cassie and say at 16 or 18? Get a cheap pair because the weight will keep falling off and you'll need some slimmer ones real soon!
I carry almost all my weight in my big fat belly and hips. When I was 204 (I'm 5'5") I had to wear a 1X in most clothes. Now at 167 I am a 14. It really does depend on body shape.
I hate you. (Just kidding - I'm really just REALLY REALLY jealous!)
Cassi, I think it has to with my workouts as I've lost more inches this year than weight about 20 inches loss all over to my 10 lb loss. Plus I haven't had kids like a lot of you gals and I personally think having children changes how you carry your weight.
