Default flavor point diet

Has anyone tried the Flavor Point Diet? I've been on Fat Smash since Sept. 11. I lost 6 pounds in Phase I and have been slowly losing a pound here, gain one there...but have generally become bored with it. Now I'm looking at the Flavor Point Diet and wonder if it's going to be something that I'll stick with.

I tried it but only lasted about a week, though I wasn't planning to stay on it long term. I try all of the diets. I didn't think the "flavor point" worked for me personally. But I followed all of the recipes and the plan as it was written, so it introduced me to a few new foods. It is well balanced and calorie controlled, so you will lose weight in a safe way if you can stick to it. I lost 2 pounds that week.

Why do you think it's not for you? Just curious. I just ordered the book.

I think the diet could work for a lot of people, and Katz did his studies to support it. I just personally like a variety of flavors on my plate, which helps to walk away feeling satisfied. I did stay full on the diet since it required a lot of whole grains and healthy foods, so it's a good plan. The book is filled with great tips and suggestions that can be applied to other diets, too, so it's a good read
