Unhappy Not Losing

I am 184 pounds and have been stuck here for quite some time. I just recently-within the past 2 weeks added 5 + hours of exercise into my plan (kickboxing class, water aerobics, treadmill-no weight training) and have been moved up from Gold to Red. Well I also don't have starch after about 5 pm. Still.the number is the same. What is going on? I am getting very discouraged.

Red seems high when they moved you up - do you know why the didn't go with Purple?

Nascar Girl - I once got a "lecture" about not getting all my foods in. So I am trying my best to be good. If I miss a Vegetable, I'll drink a V-8. If I miss a Starch, I'll eat 3 Tricuits. If I miss a dairy, I'll eat a cheese string. Yes, basically, I was told that you must get all the portions in for your body to know that it is not starving, and it's ok to shed the extra pounds. I know it's a long process. Your ticker says it all: Slow and steady wins the race! Our start weight and target weight is about the same. We can do this!!

I have no trouble getting my food in. I'm bordering on hungry sometimes..but when I've been working out..I have been doing intense workouts. So I assume it is because of that. I entered my food into fitday and it only came out to 1,200 calories---which is the minimum that we are supposed to eat. On Fitday, it showed me burning 2,000 calories above what I am eating...the weight should be falling off. Plus I don't eat starches after 5pm or fruits with lots of sugar.

buffy-if you're on red-you should be consuming more than 1200 cals a day-there's something wrong. Do you do lites? I'm on red with lites and my fit day totals are usually around 1600ish. Okay-so if you don't do lites that would be about 1250. Maybe you should add in some lunas?

Buffy- JM is right, you should be consuming more than 1200 calories. I am on purple and I average 1200- 1400 per day. Your body is putting itself into starvation mode and hoarding all those calories. You have to eat more especially on the days you do the intense workouts or you are not going to lose at all.
Also, if you are wanting to see the scale go down, I would cut back on the workouts for right now. With the workouts, you are going to see the difference in your body with it being more toned and you will be losing inches, but you are not going to see the numbers go down on the scale for a while because you are building lean muscle mass which may actually cause you to gain for a while.

So decide on which you want more right now, inches or numbers and if it's inches, then put that scale away for a few weeks and just focus on toning your body. If you go to a COD then don't look at the scale when you WI and tell the counselor not to tell you your weight. Get measured now and then have them measure you again in a few weeks, and I am sure you will be surprised by the difference.

HI,
I was having the same problem. I've been stuck at the same weight for over a month! Finally I gave in and did the Take Off, and lost over 3lbs (it was about time) I'm hoping that gave my body the kick it needed.

Also, make sure you weigh in before you work out.

Good luck
