Default Blue to gold- I'm starving!

Hi everyone,
I was on the blue plan and the past couple days I had been pretty hungry. I was spacing out my meals throughout the day and eating all my exchanges, plus getting plenty of fiber, but was still kinda hungry. Then yesterday they moved me down to gold which is even less food, and I'm starving! Any suggestions for how to stay full or others' experiences?
Thanks!!

It looks like you just started with LAWL - how come they moved you so fast? Are you doing lites? Perhaps if you could post a sample menu for us some of the more experienced gals can help you out.

Warm drinks like herbal tea or decaf coffee really help your tummy to feel full. I like to chew gum for the same reason.

yeah well I was on the blue plan for 3 weeks and lost 4 pounds then my exercise decreased so they switched me to gold for a 2 week trial. here's a typical menu (on gold):
B- oatmeal with yogurt and unsweetened applesauce
L- salad with a veggie burger and lite Italian dressing, an apple
S- La lite bar
D- baked fish, 1/2c. corn or 1/2 sweet potato, steamed brocolli
S- Lites bar or shake with berries

I'm going to go drink some hot tea!

I always use yogurt for my dairy- it is more filling than 2 oz of cheese. I also space my food out so I am eating 5 times a day. I have to say that after doing TO for 2 days this week, the gold plan seems like a feast to me. Although I am hungry when i go to bed.
Also Kashi Good Friends cereal is pretty filling for a starch- on the high end in calories but still OP.

Snobunny-
I saw your menu- this is how I would change it

B- oatmeal and an apple (an apple had more fiber than applesauce so it will fill you up more)
s-lite
L-salad, veggie burger drsg. apple (or other fruit)
S-Lite
S- yogurt with berries
D-baked fish, sweet potato, broccoli

2 things I learned and am trying this week is getting all my starches and fruits in before 4 pm. So that might change that menu up a little more.

Snowbunny - I like LJ's revisions, and adding in her early starch recommendation, here's what I would do...

B - Oatmeal, yogurt, apple

S - Cantaloupe, melon, some fruit

L - Veggie buger in 4" wheat pita (split it apart so it's like a sandwich), Salad with your salad dressing

S - LA Lite, Fruit

D - Fish, chicken, etc. w/2 different veggies. I've been on a broccoli and mushroom kick. You can saute them in Pam spray with garlic powder and Morton's Salt.

S - LA Lite, 7 almonds

Other suggestions: Have a plain, fat free yogurt with a cup of frozen raspberries or 3/4c blueberries and a packet of Splenda for breakfast. VERY FILLING. Once you put the Splenda and fruit in the yogurt, you would never know it's plain.

And, like Katie said, warm teas help a lot. Find a flavored tea that you like (Vanilla Caramel Truffle is my newest) and plan on making it at 8:00 p.m. every night regardless of being hungry or not. Just sipping on it will keep you from getting hungry at 8:30 or 9:00.

Lea Ann, LJ - Do you know? I thought blue was between gold and purple, but then someone posted about being moved from purple to blue because of long hours.

Nancy - I know that blue is for people who work long hours, like hospital shifts, or crazy schedules, like college students. I'm not sure if it's a step up or down though.

I thought Blue was between Gold and Purple--but it's weird because it's the same protein size as Gold, just an additional 1/2 P, 1S, whereas the Purple is same number of Protein just larger plus extra veggie(?). Anyway--not sure calorie wise what the difference is. Maybe the extra starch is for energy with the busier schedule. I'm not sure what being a student or shiftworker matters--EVERYONE is extremely busy nowadays!! I am kinda on a modified BluishGold right now--trying to sacrifice the extra starch but now always successful!

Snowbunny--at your weight though I can definitely see why they put you on Gold--I started on Gold and they said at 143 I would go to Green (yikes) which is even less than Gold.

Blue is less protein size per exchange than purple or red, but it is one starch more and 1/2 protein more than purple, and one less veggie than purple and red. Not sure where all this fits in, but at least now you know the differences. (I don't think we answered your original question, or maybe we left you even more confused!)
