Default Exercise videos in an apartment?

I did Walk Away the Pounds for a few months and had really good results with it. Then I joined a gym and stopped using it. Since then, I've moved and I don't feel like I have the time to get to the gym as often as I'd like, so an at-home workout is really appealing. However, I live on the third floor of an apartment buildling. Do you guys think it would be obnoxious for me to be doing WAtP? I'm not even sure if the person below me could hear me, but I'd really hate to have them hear me stomping. Any way I could reduce that noise?

I live in a 2nd floor apartment and have never had any complaints about my videos. I don't think WATP is intense enough to bother anyone as long as you don't have any precarious furniture that could fall over.

I have the same issue - I live with two housemates in a two-story apartment, and my bedroom is upstairs. So I try to wait until they're both out at class, and if that doesn't work, I just tell them - I'm going to be stomping around up here, I'll be done in about thirty minutes - and it's okay.

You don't really need a lot of room to do WATP. If you are concerned about noise, could you do most of the video on a yoga mat or something similiar? That would buffer any noise that you might make.

The yoga mat's a good idea, Jen, I hadn't thought of that.

I think it would be ok, as long as you weren't jumping up and down.. but that doesn't even happen in WATP

When I lived in my apt, I always exercised.. granted I did live on the first floor.. but I guess that doesn't apply to this post, lol

It really depends on the apartment (and the neighbors). I've lived in some where the upstairs neighbors could have kept elephants and we would have never known, but the one we're in now, you'd swear they were. We even hear when their three year old runs and falls in the hallway.

Still, you can't sit quietly in a chair all day just because you have neighbors. If you know the downstairs neighbor enough to ask, great, otherwise I think it's safe to just avoid peak sleeping hours.

I wouldn't think that it would be alot of noise. I've always gotten the lower apartments.

I would think it would be fine. I have no experience with WATP though. If you have thin walls though, maybe just not do it before 8 am. I lived in an apartment where I could hear the people above me peeing (among other things) talk about paper thin walls!

I can't hear many things being on the bottom.

At the other apartments, we couldn't hear anything at all.

With us just moving, we can hear the shower and sometimes the T.V.

I always used to do exercise in my apartment and no one ever mentioned anything. i wouldn't worry about it. besides, i'm sure other people do things far more annoying than a little bit of stomping aroudn!
