Default Take Off...

Since we're all going to suffer through TO next week ("Torturing Oneself" as I have re-named it), I thought I would post both the information I got from the COD (they gave me a blue sheet - you can ask them for it), as well as a specific menu that I usually follow.

I know others do oranges, canteloupe, and other stuff, so feel free to post what you have had success with.

TAKE OFF PROGRAM INSTRUCTIONS (LIMITED)

I bought two bottles of Knudsens Breakfast Blend juice (1 for each day). You mix 26 oz of juice, 6 oz of water, and 8 tsp of Benefiber.

FOR THE DAY:
6 oz. of the same protein
2c. raw GREEN veggies or 1c. cooked
2 LA Lites
16 oz. TO Juice (You add 16 oz. water to it)
no more than 2 6 oz. cups of caffienated coffee

They suggest this:

Breakfast - 2 oz. protein; 6 oz. coffee
Mid-Morning - LL; 6oz. coffee
Lunch - 2 oz. protein; 1C. green veggie
Mid-Afternoon - LL
Dinner - 2 oz. protein; 1C. green veggie

Here's specifically what I did:
Breakfast - 2 oz. chicken; 2c. Decaf Blueberry Herbal Tea w/1 pkt. Splenda
Mid-Morning - LL
Lunch - 2 oz. chicken; 1 c. romaine w/Wishbone Salad Spritzer (15 sprays)
Mid-Afternoon - LL
Dinner - 2 oz. chicken; 1 c. broccoli; 1 c. No Sodium Chicken Broth (this helped me to feel full and had 10 calories)

I broiled 2 chicken breasts with McCormick No-Salt chicken seasoning on Monday morning, and then I cut them into 2 oz. portions. For dinner, I added the same seasoning to the veggies and stir fried in Pam over the stove, and then added the 2 oz. chicken after the veggies had cooked a little, so that it was all heated together. And I added a little bit of No Sodium Chicken Broth to the mixture for some moisture and flavor

Cassi-you didn't write in when you had the juice-I assume you just split it up over the day, right?

JM - Yeah. I make a 32 oz sippy cup and just sip on it throughout the day. I find it easier to do than 8 oz in a glass 4x/day. I'm too lazy to keep getting up, and I know I won't do that at work, so the one big sippy cup keeps me in check.

Okay-I know what you were referring to-but now I'm sitting here trying to picture an ACTUAL 32 oz sippy cup (as in a kid's cup). Can you imagine?

LOL! Funny! Can you tell I have a toddler???

Actually it's a 32 oz Rubbermaid clear bottle with a lid that has a straw that flips up. I guess it's a "grown up" sippy cup.

Cassie,

Do you tell your COD that you aren't using the TO juice? If so what do they tell you? I am just curious.

Also, where do you find the Knudsen's?

I just write TO in my diary for those days and they haven't ever asked. I guess maybe they think I either have the juice from a bulk purchase, or that I got it the previous time I was in. Kinda like "don't ask, don't tell", LOL.

I buy the juice at Publix, which is my local grocery store. But not all of the Publix's have it. It's in the organic section. If your store doesn't have it, you can check a health food store. Also, go to knudsens.com to see where you can find it.

I have another question, what is the purpose of the benefiber? Is the Knudsen's missing something that the LAWL TO juice has?

Just wondering. It looks like it can be done every 14 days, so I will wait until next Thursday and Friday.

Question Confused!!

Hey all,
I was just wondering about the juice. I purchased 2- 32oz bottles of the Knudsen's Morning Blend. Now if I'm reading this right, but here's where it gets confusing. I should mix only 26oz of the juice with 6oz of water and 8 tsp of benefiber, right?? But then a bit lower on the post it says just 16oz of juice with 16oz of water. So which should I do???
I'm sooooo ready for this gals!! LET'S DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2bfit - I add the Benefiber because when I read the ingredients on the LAWL TO juice they have fruit pulp or fruit fiber or something in it to give you 3g of fiber per serving (4 servings a day=12gfiber).

Jenn - I agree with Lea Ann - Your smile and pic are beautiful. The 16oz juice and 16oz water are the directions for the LAWL TO juice. I used the juice the first three times I did TO and then took the other girls' advice on the board and bought the Knudsens. Then I took it a little farther and made a "concoction" that has the same calories and fiber and was pretty darn close to the LAWL TO juice. That's where I use the 26oz Knudsens juice, 6oz water and 8 teaspoons Benefiber. Hope this helps! Do this mixture each day, so one 32 oz drink for each of the two days.

Nance - I'm doing TO this week because of how I knew this weekend was going to be. Joni said she needed a kick in the pants so she joined in. I asked if anyone else wanted to join us, and we have a little group going. It's really good to help get back on track after you've been off plan, or to help jolt your body if you've stalled a bit. COD will say you can do it every 14 days, but I think the more you do it, the less you will lose each time. But that's me. Some people could do it and lose a lot more than me too.

BTW... I've nicknamed TO "Torturing Oneself". Any more takers???
