Come on--it's only 20 minutes of your day! You can go the whole time! Let's go another tenth of a mile (or whatever) to make it even. (That's what I say to myself when I'm on my NordicTrack.)
I say to myself "Just do it! If you stop, you're going to regret not getting that extra ten in when you scarf down some cookies..." or something similar. Although there are no more cookies in my apt (YAY! I just moved in a week ago!) so I'll have to shorten my statement to "Just do it!"
what do I say to myself? Its only 35 minutes (on my stationary bike) or its only 5 more reps(weight lifting) When I want to get off early I think: don't get off you'll regret it. I love the sweaty high I get after 35 minutes on my bike!
Quote: You are worth it.
Fav saying: Losing weight is a hard game that only I can win. (There are NO cheat codes.)
i dont really have any sayings but i think about my goals....
being thin when i see my family again in december
a comfortable airplane ride
moving back to san diego and wanting to go to the beach
wanting to learn how to kayak - and knowing i'll fit into it
and i always try to remind myself that if i had stuck to my plan originally i'd be at goal weight by now. that i need to stop cheating myself out of everything i know i can be for the sake of the taste of a mcnugget.
When I'm working out with weights, and the lactic acid is taking over my muscles and telling me to STOP, I say to myself: "Pain is just weakness leaving your body. You're a tough girl, come on!"
I'm still working on the part about what to say to myself over struggles with what to eat. I'll share again when I get that part figured out.
I haven't been exercising much lately... but when I do go to the gym, I push myself. What I think is, "if you're gonna go to the gym, you might as well BRING IT!"
I have been meditating on this quote and what it really means to me and my inner harmony (which has as much to do with weight loss as it will with maintainence). because my binges tend to stem from stress or an overwhelm of emotions, this quote helps me make it through difficult times.
"Not all who wander are lost."
Also, I found a quote recently that really got me as it can apply to so many different aspects of life. "When I let go of who I am, I become what I might be."
