I have never bought the supplements at LAWL, though I do take some OTC stuff I buy at Costco. I'm taking a daily chewable vitamin, 1 baby aspirin, and 1 extra vitamin C. I also purchased some stuff from Renew Life that seems to be helping me. I'm taking FloraMore which is basically bacteria to aid with digestion, DigestMore which is plant enzymes that also aid digestion,FiberSmart which is made up of mostly organic flax fiber, and OilSmart which is the omage 3-6-9 oils. As you might imagine, (and I hope this is not a case of tmi), I am VERY regular. I do feel better than I used to, but who knows? Maybe it's all in my head. I checked with my doctor and she said all this stuff is healthy and can't hurt. The other gals will have more info about the products that LAWL sells. I'm just a cheapie and won't give them one more dime of my money.
Julie - Please post one more time - anything! Call me supersticious, but I don't want that number of posts next to your name this close to the marathon. (especially with that spinach thing)
I use the "healthpack" from LAWL and with the 20% discount for buying 3 mos. it's not too bad. It's a multivitamin (first I've found that doesn't make me sick), calcium, and EFA's (3 bottles)
I use the Xcel and Reduce plus. It's supposed to be 2 pills each per day, but at least a few days a week I forget to take the 2nd one. I will say that Xcel takes away any physical hunger for food (I'm still dealing with psychological need!). I haven't noticed any reactions to the Reduce +, but I'll stick to it. If I had it to do over again, I probably would not drop the $ onthe LAWL products, but buy from another source.
When I signed up at LAWL I bought 3 months of supplements for 178$ (not including the fat blocking/burning ones I can't take thoes ones) But that equales to almost $20 a bottle.. so I am thinking about maybe buying from costco or vit. store next them instead of them. I saw an ad for london drugs where fish oils were 9.99$ a bottle.
you know I went looking around today at vits.. and was surprised at the prices. i was wrong. LAWL is actually cheap compaired to what I found. The fish oils at LAWL is in a bottle of 120 and at $20 a bottle .. at London drugs up here the cheapes one I found on SALE was 60 for $14.99.
Candice-but do you take the same number of capsules a day? The LAWL one is enough for 1 month at 3 a day, right? Maybe you only need 2 a day of the other?
I tried the Xcel and stopped taking it- made me too jittery.
I take the big red pills- I think they are called reduce plus- I am not sure they do much of anything and wouldn't bother.
I also get the carb blockers and I do notice that I don't pack the water weight on. However many report that they have found a similar product for much less. I think for me that is the only one I would keep.
as far as vitamins, you can get a decent multi vitamin in the store for far less.
They have pills for everything- today we were disucssing how bms had slowed down and they tried to sell me some omega 3 fatty acid stuff- but I passed. Would rather eat a baked apple!
