The cabbage soup diet is an extremely old fad/crash diet. It is nutritioanlly unhealthy...and due to the extremeness of it-the weight lost will be water weight and some of your muscle mass-which is what you want to keep-not the fat that you want to lose.
If you are serious about wanting to lose weight, and wanting to lose it permanantly-then you need to simply make a LIFESTYLE change. Permanent weight loss means changing the way you live. Exercise more, and eat better. Simple as that. If you do a 2 week crash diet-you will lose for 2 weeks in an unhealthy way-and when you go back to your normal routine it will come right back. It is our current, every day lifestyles that make us thin or fat. To be thin, you simply have to change your lifestyle.
