Default Introducing me :)

Hello everyone!
My name is Candace. I live in KY, I'm happily married, and the mother to 3 adorable dachshunds, Rupert, Rufus, and Sassy. I'm a senior in college, majoring in Elementary Education.
In the last month I have gone from very sedentary (sitting behind a computer ALL the time) to always being on the go. I have classes every day of the week, and during my time on campus I walk a lot. Plus I'm a member of Curves, and I love that place! So I am working out very regularly now.
My problem is my diet! I eat too much and I eat the wrong things. I don't have a lot of time to cook for my husband and myself, and too many times we rely on take-out. I really need to find a way to cook for my husband and myself so that we can both eat healthly, we both need to lose weight. He is a really picky eater though, so it causes trouble.
Well, thats me in a nutshell! I'm looking forward to reading/posting on this board, can't wait to meet everyone!

Hi Candace, and welcome! Glad you are getting started.

To solve the cooking problem, I got out my crockpot! There are lots of great recipes you can make big batches of on weekends and freeze in individual portions. Then it's not so hard to pop on out and microwave it and have with some veggies, etc. Also can do this with baked dishes. Sure saves me a lot of headaches... I hate to cook... and I end up with nice, home cooked meals all the time. I have certain recipes which I also fix for my lunches at work.

I can dust off my crockpot. Where did you get your recipes from?
