Lightbulb For those who have plantar fasciitis...

Thought I would share this great tip I learned from my doctor for those who have pain from plantar fasciitis.

Get a can of soup (the size of the regular red/white Campbell's) -- I take the label off -- put it on the floor and roll your foot around on it. You would not believe how much it helps and how soothing this is. I do it usually with a sock on since I love to wear socks... but works great either way. You will be amazed.

Thanks for the tip! I'll have to try it.

Another tip, wearing my birkenstock-type sandals whenever possible has definitely helped my PF. I originally got the idea from a poster at a running forum.

Well it would probably feel good on ANY sore, tired feet!

When my doctor told me about this she said you can either buy an expensive piece of exercise equipment... or get a can of soup! And get the same results. I use the soup.

Interesting about the sandals! I will try it next summer as I get discouraged at having to wear clunky shoes all the time. Thanks for the tip

I wear birkenstocks! They seem to mold the foot really well, but theyre just as comfy as any sneaker or shoe of mine...

Good idea. I will pass this on to hubby. What he does, is stick golf balls in the freezer, then when he needs to, he'll take on out and use that. He says it really helps to relieves the pain.

Always good to read tips and tricks to something!

My Doctor told me to freeze a drinking water bottle and do the same thing.
She said to do it two or three times a day.
Works great.
