Thumbs up Help me dress up for a dance club?

I havent really been to a dance club ever since I remember I gained weight. DH has planned a dance night for both of us and we are really excited. Its going to be a really exclusive night with some special DJ's playing exclusive music.

I know I cant really dance that well but I guess, I'l just swing to the music. I feel very conscious of my weight and height and Dont know what to wear? There isnt a specific dress code...the invitation card just says "smart and sexy dress". Where Can i buy some good yet inexpensive nightclub wear? Any ideas/links/stores/pictures of what to wear and not feel overly conscious in them? (I dont think I have the confidence to wear very revealing/flashy outfits with my body). What accessories are trendy today?

I do not want this stress of dressing up ruin my excitement for the night.

Thanks~!

Currently, my favorite store is Forever 21. Granted, some of the items are too young (I'm 24), but there are enough varieties in styles that I can always manage to find clothes that I like, that look appropriate on me.

Depending on your proportions, you may or may not be able to find pants there (they tend to go on the small, medium, large scale rather than numbers), but they usually have some cute skirts that will fit (not to mention dresses). Even when I weighed 165 pounds, I still wore clothes from there; it just might take some looking around. They have a webiste (www.forever21.com) that you can browse through to get an idea of the kinds of clothes they have.

They range from casual, to club outfits, to outfits that I wear to work. Also, I think they're very affordable. Usually, I can get a garment for twenty-something dollars. Also, they have fun accessories there too.

Enjoy your night out!

If they have them in your area, Dot's carries both regular and plus-size and I've found some decent stuff there very affordably. http://www.dots.com/

Do you already own an outfit that you love? you can always dress it up with accessories like some sparkly jewelry, some nice shoes, paint your nails and put something sparkly in your hair, red lipstick (sexy) and of course a cute purse.

Mostly HAVE FUN !!!!!
