This is a thread to challenge ourselves to remain binge free for one week. Some of us make it, and some of us don't, but we all give it our best effort. It doesn't have to be an entire week. Some of us take it hour-by-hour. Whatever you can do, come here to share your successes and your struggles. Together, we are all stronger!
Please refrain from mentioning any specific foods because it sets some people off on a binge. If you feel the need to mention food, head on over to Cyber Purgers and confess away.
This is a thread open to all, don't hesitate to jump in anytime!!! Newbies are very much welcomed!!!
I am having more problems forgetting to eat right now, its a bad set up for me. Leaving on a plane in about 4 hours so everyone keep their fingers crossed that I can find Chris's happy place. To be honest if I had anything in me I would love to purge it, so here's my little vent.
The liquid restrictions are SOOOOOOOOOOOO stupid NO LIPGLOSS! NO MASCARA! BUT YOU CAN BRING YOU FAKE BOOBY BRAS ON CARRY_ON! AS A CHEMIST AND A THINKING PERSON IT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE!!!!!! THERE IS NOTHING IN 2 OZ OF LIPGLOSS OR MASCARA, BLETCH!!!!!
I wish that I had internet access at home (I really need to look into getting it again). When I feel an urge to eat at night (which is the time when my bingeing occurs) I can hop on the message boards and get off of the couch! That is what does it to me. Sitting home alone staring at the TV not really enjoying what I'm watching (seems like there's not too many great shows on anymore). I do love to read and I do make a habit of picking up a book instead of the romote. When I read I don't have the urge to eat like I do when I watch TV.
My intension is for this week not to induldge in snacks after dinner. I don't think that I can even allow myself one b/c that will get the ball rolling so to speak. So after dinner the kitchen is closed...
I get so frustrated b/c I was able to quit smoking cold turkey over 3 yrs ago and I haven't gone back. Why is it harder to quit snacking??? It seems so crazy to me. I guess it's harder b/c it's not like I cannot not have food in the house like cigs. What a challenge this is!
OK 6 days was my record. I binged Sunday night...after doing so well with my eating and kicking butt with my workouts. So time to start this new week and my goal? To break 6 days being binge free ofcourse...I know I can do it!
ruth - Hey I used to be on the south beach board, good to see you again.
rochemist - I do power yoga, classes mostly. Pretty challenging we go through a high number of asanas to keep the heart rate up. Your right the restrictions are horrible, makes no sense to me either!
knot - great to see you excited and motivated, here is to a great week.
yoga chick - I know what you mean about just one snack opening the flood gates... good luck this week.

Okay, I already messed up today, but I'm starting tomorrow. And how about actually going back on my diet? I realized I haven't been on my diet for a long time, never tracking calories, and not exercising consistently. It's harder the closer I get to goal, because I am comfortable at this weight, but I want to lose the other 20 pounds!!! I haven't lost any weight in 3 months I'm starting over tomorrow. My diet, the sequal - opens 8/28/06.
everyone. I've been lurking too much I'll be better. Je promis.
