I am originally from Anniston but have been living in the mid-west for a couple of years. I have just moved back to HEFLIN. I have gotten some recipes on line. I have recently given up meat (Heard a cow calling out from a cattle trailer while I was gassing the car). I have battled my weight since my early twenties. I reached and maintained my goal weight from 1995 to 2004 with regular exercise and strict portion control. Then I blew it! I felt so good when I was eating right and exercising. I now feel low and old. I will walk daily, maintain my portion control and I have just decided to keep a food diary. Good luck on your diet. Just "chatting" sometimes helps.
I live in Athens and work in Huntsville. I am doing the Sonoma diet - eating fresh vegetables, whole grains, fruit, wine, and fish. I've done pretty good (12 lbs in 3 weeks). I need to start the routine exercise to go with my diet. I've done Atkins and low carb and have some good recipes for that WOL too.
