I'd like to join you all - what are your plans?

I am planning to track on Fit day, keep calories under 1500/day plus exercise 4-5 times/week, a mix of cardio plus weights.

Well I am keeping track of what I eat on Fitday. I probably have to add more calories but already forcing myself to eat 5 or 6 times a day. I was in a bad habit of eating once a day. I am trying to go for walks now didn't make it yesterday. I am going to the Mall of America tommorow for a couple of days so I should get my walking in there lol. I also started 6 days ago on Detox 7 doesn't really help you lose weight but it seems to make unhealthy foods less appealing. I only had one candy bar which is really good for me considering it that TOM. I am thinking about joining the gym but I need to make sure I am really going to go so I'm not wasting money.

I would love to buddy up. I am keeping my calories at 900 - avoiding white (bad) carbs - keeping a diet journal - I carry one in my purse. There are several great online programs - calorieking is awesome. If I had a copy on my pda it would make it easier, maybe I can reward myself with a 10lb loss! I have three children and work full time - NIGHTS are def my issue. When is everyone else's hardest time? Any tips to share?

tracyjacy, I so know what you mean - nights are definitely my worst time. In fact, it's exactly two hours after dinner, either right before the kids go to bed or right after!!!

I think I'm rewarding myself for 'surviving' another day of kids, work, house, etc. I usually aim for a couple hundred calories as a 'snack' at that time, but find it's difficult to keep to just what I've decided on.

reo, what's Detox 7? What's your timing for your goals?

Have a good day everyone.

Tracyjacy- 115 seems WAY too thin for 5'6". What is your wt history? Do you have a tiny build? I havent weighed that little since I was 10 I bet and I am shorter!

Good luck on your loss. I understand the night thing too. It seems like the time of day to finally do something for ourselves. Try something nicce other than eating like a bath with candles and nice music or a cuddle on the couch with a movie etc. Before dinner is my bad time and I have beengetting tons of fruits/vegs and having them all ready to chow on when I need that grazing. Cherry tomatoes and celery and carrots and blueberries are the current cure for me.

Welcome and glad you joined us.

I am really trying to do FitDay more too. My goal is daily but I only do a few days per week right now. Too busy!

Exercise is great too. I find the motivation to eat well is much increased after I bust butt on the elliptical machine!

Welcome.

PM me if you want a buddy.

Squishy, congrats on the 14 lbs off!! I've recently discovered frozen bags of blueberries, raspberries, etc. in my grocery store - they're fabulous.

Victoria, fitday is a free online tracking site at www.fitday.com - it lets you input what you've eaten and shows you total calories, nutrition breakdown, etc. It's a great site - check it out! PS, so sorry to see your pregnancy losses.

Have a great day everyone.

Victoria- PM is when you right click over someones name you can private message that person which means the message goes only to them, not in the forum. This way you can talk more one-on- one with the person you want to talk to and its almost like emailing them. Instant messaging is another way but I dont use that since I am old at 35 and dont know how plus I know when my step kids come over I have popups galore after they instant message friends. Annoying. Plus I am a hunt-and-peck typist so I am too slow to IM I think.

BethO- Funny: I just made DD and her friends smoothies with frzn strawberries and milk and a little sugar for bfast today! Yummy!

Yesterday was not so good for me diet and exercise-wise. Today is a new day and I am starting to get my house under control after being away and after being slobby for a few days. Yest I started tackling it and got stressed and ate poorly.

Today was okay but not great - really long day! Congratulations to everyone who had a great day! Some of the girls at my office have lost tons of weight on the 900 cal a day plan - Mostly whole foods, fruit, veg. etc. They are also getting B12 shots from the medical doctor - I checked him out and he is truly above board BUT VERY EXPENSIVE - Insurance will not cover it. Has anyone heard of giving yourself the B12 shots at home? What kind of diet plans are you all following?

My goal weight is strictly that goal - realistically I will probably end up at around 120 - I am built small. I really want to loose this weight soon! My problem is exercise - Where I live is sooo hot right now, I work a full time+ job out of the house by 7am and in at 7pm, I am sure you all know the drill. Any suggestions on how to get exercise in with job/husband/3kids and hot weather? Bless you all, this is an awesome tool.

I guess, with all that on your "plate" so-to-speak, I'd say first- see if exercise can fit into your workday. Some employers (the smart ones) have health promo programs to encourage wt loss and physical fitness. Secondly- crockpot cooking for the fam. Nothing like coming home after a full day to dinner all done in the crockpot. I dont know where you live but here in NH in the fall and winter that warm steaming pot is a wonderful thing! Plus it may buy you extra time in the evening to exercise!

Keep at it and good luck. I am just tracking cals on FitDay and try about 1300-1600 per day. Today was a bust but tomorrow is a new day.
