hey everyone, I am on the website again to try and lose 75pounds. I'm 21 with a one year so, and i currently weigh, 258.0. So far, I lost 13.5 pounds, but it still doesn't get me movitated to want to lose weight. This is the highest I have ever weighed in my life, I lose 80 pounds before but I just can't seem to have the movitation to do anything about it.
A one year old keeps you B-U-S-Y! Personally when I'm at my high weight I get complacent. I know it is hard work to get it off and I convince myself I don't need to. It takes a "Woah moment" to get me to do anything about it.
Can I suggest that maybe you start off by getting a free online journal. There are several of them. THEN, start logging your foods. When you stare it in the face, it's easier to realize what you are doing and how you got there. Establish that and add more water as a new habit. Then when you've somewhat mastered that, start adding new goals like picking healthier foods (chances are you will do this naturally to see your journals look better). Go slowly, enjoy what you've learned about yourself and the journey as you go on. THEN apply it all and before you know it, you are entrenched in a new lifestyle.
Seeing those pounds drop will provide you with the further motivation to keep you going!
I agree with Deafinly Smart. You might also try putting the baby in a stroller and going for a walk. It is hard to find the needed motivation, but just getting started is a sign that you are ready to lose weight. Congratulations on the 13.5 lbs. that is great. Come and read these boards as much as you can for needed support. Good luck and best wishes for you.
Thanks guys for the support. I just started today with taking my son for a walk, so far i am doing great. I am on a 1200 calorie diet and i walked 50 mins today. I always read other people's thread because it makes me feel like i'm not alone. The last time I lost the weight I read threads everyday, excerised for an hour each day, and ate right. I hope we can support each other and help each other lose weight.
