Carry snacks with you in the car so kids can munch on something before they get home for dinner? That way, you can watch what you eat even if you can't exercise.., just a suggestion.

O.k. .... maybe this will encourage you NOT to do what I did. This spring a friend and I joined weight watchers .... we each lost 20lbs and were doing so good. The summer came, we had visitor after visitor and three vacations .... the result? I let EVERY BIT of the hard work go up in smoke. It took until just now well over 3.5 months later to get back to start at ground zero again. If you want to feel as bad as I have, if you want to scream and pull your hair out that you didn't muster the strength deep within or cry out to God for help, then go ahead eat away and gain every bit back. But if you need a good kick in the pants HERE IT IS :kick butt: ... because you have to fight for control. You have to pray for it! Don't give up on your dream of being the best you can. You will feel better, you will look better, and everyone in your family will benefit from a you that is confident and beaming with joy! Don't give up.... Look at all the ladies here who are 50, 60 100+ lbs losers! That is tenacity....that is patience .... but above all it is PERSISTENCE that got them there. You too can and will do it ... you have your own personal cheering squad right here!!!

I will give you the kick, but I need one back. I reached my goal last month. Just recently had 2 bad days in a row. I'm now back on track and need the reminder to stay that way. Good luck in finding the strength and getting back on track.

purplecrush, I know what you are talking about, without the soccer,I lost 54 pounds , and regained 30, it took me the loooooongest time to get back on track, even tho I knew exactly what I need to do. I started over again many times but it only lasted a day or 2. Finally something clicked and I am back on track I wish there was a way to give us motivation, these forums help a lot, when I read about someones success it make me want to succeed too.

for purplecrush,
for morgaine,
for lillybelle,
and a few extras for whoever needs one!

Suggestions:

When the kids are doing soccer practice, walk the perimeter of the big, green soccer field.

Dedicate some time SOON to getting to the store to get some foods that work to keep you on plan, and some easy/healthy dinner foods for the kids. Chop up your vegetables to be able to grab-n-go when you or the family needs it.

You can do this! You have all the tools, and you know what worked before. If it worked then, it'll probably work again. If it no longer works, modify it so that it does work.

I was losing big time. I lost 20lbs in 3 months. That's pretty good for my size. Boy I was floating. It was the day before my anniversary and I got a call that my grandma died. It took me 4 months to care about dieting again. I am so proud that I didn't wait 4 years and relieved that I only gained 4lbs this time. It's a little tougher this time because I don't have the rapid success pushing me forward, but I'm just grateful to be back on track.

Think about NSVs for a moment.
1. What GOOD habits have you successfully kept?
2. You haven't gained weight yet.
3. You have a good support system.
4. You DO want to get back on the wagon and you've already been a success.

Now your barriers:
1. You've become a little lax.
2. You feel overwhelmly busy.

I recommend this too many times. Take the time to make a master lists of all the foods you like that would fit with your plan. Include these headings: Snacks, Breakfast, Lunch, Supper, Meat, Dairy, Fruits, Veggies. This will speed your process up. You will have a variety to pick from when you go to the store. Don't forget to put your favorite meals but also very easy things.

Come home and put things in individual serving baggies (when appropriate). Then when it is time to go to soccer you have baggies of things to choose from to prop into your cooler.

Water! I hope that's one of the habits you've kept.

If you MUST face fast food, get nutrition brochures from all your favorite places and put them in your glove compartment. Knowledge is key. Only do this occasionally and if you can pass temptation.

Eat small bits throughout the day. It may be tempting to get so busy that you skip meals and then when you are hungry, you face the fast food or binging giant and overdo it.

If you aren't already journaling, get back to that. If you have time to post here, you have time to journal.

Focus on what you are doing RIGHT. Apply change one theory for the things you have backslid on. In other words say you have 3 habits that aren't doing well on. Pick one, work on it, apply it, master it (or when it gets to the point where it isn't painsakingly hard) then move on to another habit.

Thanks purplecrush. I have found that for me, journaling is a MUST. I am now writing everything down again. Also, I am now conscious of getting in all my water. I can't exercise due to a hurt ankle. (I start Physical Therapy tomorrow). I am ashamed to admit it, but I got lax there for a couple days. I am glad that I weighed and got a grip. I had gained 4 lbs. and now 2 of them are back off. I very much still need the support of these boards. I am so glad that you are back on program too. I went shopping today and restocked all my healthy foods and know that this will help alot.

Yeah, I have to start journaling again. I got a new notebook and am ready to rock. I am going to walk at my kids soccer practices..they have a track at one and a trail at another, so I can do it! I had a horrible fall on July 4th, carrying a cooler and I have a hairline fracture on my left ankle, so its hard for me to do anything fast right now. It has healed a bit, but its still verrrrrrrrrry tender. I cant wait till its all healed. I can still do pilates and the like, but I do like my step aerobics!

Thanks ladies for all the input!! I will start taking snacks..I will start drinking all my water..I will start journaling..and I will come on here daily.

Im excited to get on way to a happier me (again)

Thanks again!!!!!

HUGS!
