Default water and hunger

Has anyone experienced more hunger when they don't drink enough water? Yesterday due to work, I was unable to drink my regular 2L, I probably had about 1L and that's generous. Last night when I got home I was starving and I was chips and ice-cream and pasta covered in sauce. It was like no other craving I've ever had. I brushed my teeth then thought frig it I'm having chips and dip however I feel guilty if I eat after I brush my teeth. anyway, just wondering if it happened to anyone else.

Water sometimes make me feel hungrier...but never hungry due to a lack of it.

Hungrier, yes. Many have said that thirst can also be mistaken for hunger, although not for the specific foods such as you described. I find that if I first drink another big glass of water and have healthy foods already prepared for such times, it goes much smoother.

I guess I would like to ask, did you feel you were actually just hungry or were you craving the carbs. That could actually be something other than a lack of water causing cravings.

YES!! That happens to me anytime I don't get enough water in. I love drinking water, so it's usually not a problem. But if there is a day that I am unable to drink my usual amount of water, you can guarantee that I'll think I'm famished at some point in the day, when in fact, I'm just thirsty.
