Question Anyone use Urban Rebounder or similar

videos? Any recommendations? I've been doing WATP since January and I LOVE it. But I've hurt my foot and my doc believes it's either a stress fracture (didn't show up on xray but he says that's pretty common??) or I've really torn up some ligaments or something. If it's not better in 4-5 weeks, as in 100% better I'm supposed to have a bone scan to look further into the stress fracture possibility. He told me I did not have to stop exercising (Whoo Hoo!!! I'd have had a meltdown! LOL) but he wants me to cross train, do exercise bike or things that don't involve such an impact to the foot so I want to try out using a mini-trampoline. Just wondering if anyone has used a formal workout dvd or if they wing it, whatever.

Wouldn't a trampoline be pretty high impact on your foot and maybe hurt it more?

I have had the urban rebounder for almost a year. Use it as my aerobics workout. It doesn't take a lot of time but really gets your heart pumping. I fractured my ankle in October and couldn't use my rebounder for quite a while. When jumping on the rebounder, you are actually pushing down on the balls of your feet. But, it found even with my boot on, my ankle was still being tweaked. I was sure glad to get back to it, but it took a couple of months before it didn't hurt.

I love my mini trampoline but I don't think it would be best for your foot. MAybe you could try biking, swimming, or even an elliptical would have no impact.

I think the Urban rebounding videos are a lot of fun. I have compilations 3 and 4 and that is like 8 workouts. The only problem is that they are all really short, none of them are longer than 30 minutes. I also have Tracie Long's G-Force which is one of the funnest ones out there. The trouble with it is that she breaks it into segments with weights so it is only like 40 minutes. A new one just came out called cardiolaties. I haven't tried it yet but it looks like it is going to be super.

You can get the Urban Rebounder Compilations cheapest on Amazon. G-Force is on the Reboundair website (you might want to consider the reboundair over the Urban rebounder it is supposed to be better a little bigger and it has a softer bounce) Cardiolaties in on collage where you can also find some clips which will help you decide.

It is great exercise, a lot of fun, it doesn't "hurt" like running or other high impact and if you don't want to do a video you can do it while you watch TV or rock out to music.

Thanks for all the feedback. I got my tramp yesterday and tried it out and love it. My foot didn't hurt at all which was wonderful. Did just a do-it-yourself workout this morning and was amazed at how much of a sweat I worked up I'll have to look into a video though because I know I'd do better with something more "set".

Doc called yesterday and there doesn't seem to be any break anywhere in the foot, but soft tissue swelling showed on the xray so right now I'm to take ibuprofen twice a day to help with swelling and if the pain isn't gone w/i3-4 weeks I go see him again and possibly have a bone scan. I really messed my ankle up (other foot) several years ago and I know how long it takes to recover from that type of injury, but this isn't anywhere near as bad, just annoying mainly. As long as doc doesn't tell me not to exercise I'll keep it up LOL I've tried biking in the past and just have never gotten weight loss from it and we don't have access to swimming anywhere nearby.

Thanks again for all the info!!
