hey mum, WELCOME!! i am 39 and have 47 pounds to go to reach my goal. i am a mother of two, ages 14 and 10 and kept most of my last preg. weight for the last 10 years. it is great that you are taking control this soon after having your baby. there are many forums here that can help you along the way. i tend to lurk in the shadows of many and join a few. there is one that i really like that is the 21 day challenge... this should take you straight to it.

you should take a look and see what you think. hope that you will join in...it is really a lot of fun.

i did an 8 weeks of ww and lost 16lbs. now i am just using everything that i learned to help me make better choices. fad diets work great for some but i want to take off the weight and keep it off so i know that i have to retrain my brain and my body, which is not an easy thing. what has helped me the most is keeping a journal of everything that i eat and drinking at least 64 oz. of water a day and i also walk everyday. i have slowed down over the summer (i teach and summers are the hardest) but once school starts back it is much easier for me to take control.

ireland....i have alwasy wanted to visit there. is it as pretty as all the pictures?

that is a long time to be trying for a baby, congratulations!! i know that you must be overjoyed. just don't be to hard on yourself with regards to diet and all, take baby steps. try making one change a week or month and set mini goals that are attainable; but most of all enjoy every minute you have with your baby because before you know it they are 14 yrs old and taller than you are. the weight will come off, just stay positive and do your best...that is all any of us can do.
