Default Swimming/water exercises - advice?

Hi,

Newbie here

I've recently re-taken up swimming and have been doing some simple water exercises as well such as jogging underwater and doing Pilates circles with my legs. I am managing an hour of this 3x a week. I am really enjoying it but am experiencing little to no post-workout-soreness, which makes me wonder whether I am not pushing myself hard enough!

I'm wondering if any of you more experienced ladies can tell me about your experiences with swimming and water exercises: whether you found it helpful, how long it took you to see results, and whether you'd recommend it over land-based/gym-based exercise as a way of losing weight.

Any advice much appreciated!

Thank you!

That's the beauty of a water workout. You're using those muscles, but not feeling it. I would do water aerobics for an hour, and leave tired, but not feeling sore at all.

No worriesd, just grin and enjoy it!
