Default I am new and I am ready to GO!

Hi, just found this site and never have used a forum before. Eek! I am 35 and found out that my mom (also squishy) has heart problems as does my fit dad. I am taking this "teachable moment" to start the weight loss journey again! I sucessfully lost 35 lbs 2.5 yrs ago on W.W. but gained it all back plus 10 lbs! I have already lost 8 lbs since April when I learned that my scale was lying by 8 lbs!! I am at least now where I thought I was then!

I am trying the age-old moderation technique along with healthy choices. If I have a moderate amt of icecream I go back for many more moderate amts! So I am only eating healthy foods.

I need support for those plateaus or unexplained gains so I dont throw my hands up and quit.

I'm new too!! I've been tracking this website for like 2 weeks and started tracking WW points then too. I've lost 4 lbs since then and weigh every monday. I just need daily motivation to stay in the fight. I did weight watchers for 2 months and lost 10 lbs and quit b/c I didn't want to pay anymore.

I have 3 wonderful kids 10, 3, 1 and DH I have to cook for daily. That makes counting points interesting. Any easy, fast, kid friendly recipes are always wonderful. Want to say hello to everyone and please help me stay motivated and I will help you too!

Yes, I have one kiddo (aged 8 in eight days!) The little one was about 4 when I did WW and she is a thin little peanut. I think through her toddlerhood I ate everyything I wished she'd eat! Cook 4 fishsticks knowing she'd eat one! Haha! I get 3 more! I thought she'd gain vicariously through me. Nice mom!

The thing that helps me when I cook for my fam is to cook LOTs of veggies and bulky, lofat meals for everyone so I dont feel deprived only having a little serving of something fatty/ starchy. I tried WW again for a short time (also quit due to $) and found the core plan the best since it wasnt around before. I had just gotton to sick of counting and planning so much!
