Default I've Had IT!!!

Know how sometimes you have to hit bottom before you can start back up again? Well that is me right now! I've had it with my weight! I am sick of saying "I'll start tomorrow, but tomorrow never getting here" I procrastinate, and when I fall off the wagon, I just keep on rolling down hill. I'm tired of looking at all the cute clothes and thinking "I wish...". I am going to take action and stick to it. I will be here often posting to help me keep from slipping. I think I will feel much better about myself if I really work hard to achieve and not just half way try.

Thanks girls for the support. I guess that's why I posted that on this site. I know how awesome everyone is in giving support. The ones who have succeeded are so inspiring...when I look at their pics and read their stories I know I can do it..it just takes hard work from me.

Hey Lisa-

You sound JUST like me....I make a little mistake and a week later I'm still trying to get on the wagon.

I am going to carry my journal around with me and write down EVERYTHING. I'm also going to record it on Fitday.com....have you been there? It looks great.

How much do you have to lose??

Hi Brooke. I don't think I have ever been to Fitday. I did WW for a while last year and lost a little..especially when I'd walk everyday and write before I bite. Then I got a cold and stopped walking, never to get started back again. I need to lose about 50 pounds. I haven't had a perfect day of eating today, but it wasn't really overboard bad either.

Hey Lisa,
I am the same age and I have the same problem. My 10 year old girl makes me walk every night. I have about 60 lbs. to lose if you want to be a buddy. I am not sure what that means, because I am new as of 7/24 but whatever we need to do I am willing. I am frustrated and lost about losing weight and not really sure what to do!

Hi Shoelover. I'd like to be your buddy too. I don't know what it will take for me to start walking again. I really enjoyed it last fall and did well with my weight loss. I told my hubby that I was going to walk this summer and to wake me up each day, but he never did or when he did wake me up I didn't want to get up. Maybe he should have lit a piece of dynamite under me. If I could lose weight from good intentions I'd be anorexic looking by now because my intentions are always good. lol
I saw you were from Midland TX. I have Aunts and Cousins there! As a matter of fact, I just put my mom on a plane to fly there today!

WOW! What a small world...........do they live here? I start back to work next week. I am a teacher and it is going to be hetic, but we can keep motivating each other......................start with a walk around the block......then two, then three.....Do you have kids? Mine makes me do it! "come on mom let's go." I bought an ipod and that seems to help. It makes the time go by and keeps my mind off sweating since it is way over 100 here!

I have 2 girls, 10 and 16. They don't ever say anything to me. I have an Ipod too. I love that thing. I got it last year when I was actually walking. Maybe I'll add some new music and walk this afternoon. It's really been too hot unless I walk in the earrrrly morning, but it's alittle better now I think. Yes my family does still live in Midland. What grade do you teach? Do you know any Madry's?

I have become walking addicted. I can't get out a lot of times because of heat, daughter, whatever. The days I can't get out I pop in one of my Leslie Sansone videos and walk away. I started out doing a mile or two, I am up to 6-10 miles a day. I am an early riser and used to sit and drink coffee for a couple of hours before getting ready for work, now I sit for about 15 minutes, drink my coffee and get up and go to the park and walk if I can or I do 6 miles worth on the videos.
As far as motivation, I find even on the days I don't feel like it, I just get my clothes on and go. By the time I'm finished, I feel better and I know I got that under my belt for the day.
Anyway, good luck to you!

Hi Lisa, I'm so new to this site that I'm a premie. My step daughter has lost over 100 lbs with the help of this site and I contacted her today and she sent me here. I would love to have a buddy to share thoughts and motivation with, especially with an Arkie girl. Dardanelle here. I also love to walk but the heat on these dusty roads are murder. I don't know how all these people have put those cute little critters and scales on their messages but I hope to learn. Good luck and best wishes.

Harkeyvalley,

Unbelievable that I have to come on a message board to meet buddies that are right here in my area. lol Welcome to the boards. I hope I can have sucess by coming here. There are difinately some real motivating stories. I need to lose about 50 pounds. What about you? I can't wait for it to cool down a little so I can walk. Of course I should be doing my WATP video but I just can't get inspired watching a video.

Debbie-What grade do you teach? I teach 2nd grade. I really am not looking forward to going back. It's been so nice staying at home and getting some things done for a change.
