Default Cookie, Brownie, and Bar recipes for LA Weight Loss

*FAUX FROZEN SNICKER BARS*

2 cups fat-free chocolate ice cream, softened
1 cup Cool Whip Lite
1 (4-serv) pkg sugar-free vanilla pudding and pie filling
1/4 cup reduced-fat peanut butter

Mix together (with electric mixer). Put into 8x8 pan. Put in
freezer for 2 hours.
Cut into 8 bars

per bar-
122 Calories;4g Fat;4g Protein;18g Carbs;0g Fiber;0mg Chol;146mg Sodium

Exchanges per bar: 1/2 Fat; 1 Carb

*BROWNIES FROM LAWL COOKBOOK*

3/4 c sugar (do not use Splenda, the sugar counts in the recipe as part of the starch exchange)
1/2 c flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
2 egg whites, lightly beaten
1 tsp vanilla
2/3 c unsweetened applesauce
1/4 c unsweetened cocoa powder

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 8x8 nonskick pan w/ cooking spray. Combine the ingredients in a large mixing bowl, blend well. Pour batter into pan and bake 20-30 min. Test w/ toothpick. Remove from oven & let cool 5 min. in pan.

Cut into 8 squares.

*OATMEAL COOKIE RECIPE FROM LAWL COOKBOOK*

1/4 c packed brown sugar
1/4 c artificial sweetener
1/2 c unsweetened applesauce
1/4 c egg substitute
1 c flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1 c oats
1/4 c raisins

In a large mixing bowl, mix brown sugar, sugar substitute and applesauce. Add in egg substitute. In another bowl, sift flour, baking powder, salt and cinnamon. Stir this into the applesauce mixture. Add the rolled oats and raisins. Stir well. Drop spoonfuls onto cookie sheet.

Bake for approx. 10 min. in preheated 350 degree oven. Allow cookies to cool before removing them from baking sheet.

Makes 3 dozen, 2 cookies count as 1 starch.

*BIG COOKIE*

1/2 c Peanut Butter
1 c Powdered Milk
1 c Raisins
1/2 c Brown Sugar
1 1/2 c Dry Oatmeal
16 Packets of Splenda
4 t Baking Powder
1 c Water

Mix together and spread on a small greased cookie sheet and bake at 350 for 10 minutes. Cut into 8 servings after cooling.

Makes 8 servings

Each serving counts as 1 Fat , 1 Starch, 1 Fruit, 1 Dairy

*APPLESAUCE OATMEAL COOKIES*

1/4 c packed brown sugar
1/4 c Splenda

1 c all purpose flour
1 t baking powder
1/2 t salt
1 t cinnamon
1 c oats
1/4 c raisins

1) In large mixing bowl, mix brown sugar, Splenda, egg substitute and applesauce.

2) In separate bowl, sift flour, baking powder, salt and cinnamon; stir into applesauce mixture.

3) Add oats and raisins. Stir til completely combined.

4) Drop by spoonfuls onto prepared cookie sheet.

5) Bake for 10 minutes in preheated oven.

6) Allow the cookies to cool slightly about 1 to 2 minutes before removing from cookie sheet.

Makes approximately 3 dozen cookies. Serving size: 2 cookies. Count as: 1 starch
