Hi all, So I was 100% yesterday, despite eating two meals out. And not getting enough sleep. And my scale being a jerk... TOM came along and I put on 6 pounds, but I know that's water. So the end-of-summer campaign continues with goal unchanged, assuming that these six pounds will go away with TOM.

Nothing much else to report. Hope everyone's having a good weekend and HOPE THAT FOAL COMES SOON.

Hi ladies,

Gads, it sure turned into a nasty July. Like others, terrible heat again.

We've been to church and stopped for lunch at a local restaurant. I've been napping off and on this afternoon.

I let Ginger out this morning before we left for church. She heard me coming and stepped out of the loafing shed to nicker at me. Like let me out! And she promptly took off so her feets are feeling good. You don't know how that relieves me. She's out there munching grass and that darn baby is not coming yet. I just knew for sure she would have her baby about 2 am during a big thunderstorm last week. I can hardly wait to see what it is and its color. The sire is a big sorrel paint stallion and she is a roaned out sorrel/white appaloosa with black spots on her butt. Her two other babies were both fillies and sorrel with white blankets. I'm betting its a boy and just plain sorrel. OHHH, I can hardly wait.

I think I'll go do some weedeating and then jump in the pool for awhile. I sure haven't been productive inside this weekend. I guess the pressure is off now that we're all moved and here! Oh well, tomorrow's another day!

Valerie - I read about the dog adventures over on the other thread. I have to admit that I laughed and I know at the time it wasn't funny for you. You do have to wonder sometimes why we have them. I hope that the doc gives you some relief. Poor baby! How fun for your student and her blue ribbons.

Sue - Did I miss where you're headed off to on vacation? How did we live without IM'ing as kids? I bet its good to have her home though.

Angela - Stupid scale! I want to beat it with a hammer when it does that. Drink up! Good job on 100% OP!

I'm off to work up a sweat. That should only take me walking out the door and to the barn.

Have a cool evening!

Hi Chicks!

Just a quick hello before I head off for another sleepless night. I am still struggling with the CPAP machine but I'm not giving up. I know it will be worth it when I get used to is. I have an appt with my sleep specialist on Friday so we'll see what adjustments she might make.

This weekend was ok. We didn't do a whole heck of a lot. As many of you have been dealing with, it was too hot and muggy here too! It's going to be a busy work week - I'm still struggling to fit exercise into my daily schedule. I keep saying I'll get on the treadmill at night when the baby goes to bed, but then I'm so tired. There is no good excuse...I have to make time for exercise. I will do it!

DH has been dropping weight like crazy....and doing NOTHING! How does that happen? He did cut back on portions and is mostly on diet soda (although he's been slipping up the past couple weeks). No exercise....just weight falling off. I don't get it. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy for him, but geez!

Have a wonderful night and great start to the week! Talk to you later on.
Hugs,
Barb

Just popping back in...well because I CAN again!

I did get productive this afternoon. I spent an hour outside working with both the regular weedeater and the string mower. Finally got the out-of-control landscape area at the front of the house hacked down. I could kick whichever person's butt that built a landscape area and put mulch down without the ground cover. I found the round-up in the garage organization on Saturday so I'll be using that this week. The house looks much better. I cleaned out the horse water tank. Threw buckets of water on Spanky. He is such a dork. I did frolick in the pool once I got all hot and sweaty.

I did follow through on moving an exercise bike into useful range. I parked it in the living room. Now I can cycle while I watch the super fit chicks on FitTV bounce around with too much energy for 5:30 in the morning!

Have I said lately that LIFE IS VERY GOOD? Well, it is. It is especially good the first night you put clean sheets on the bed. Isn't that just wonderful?

I'm off to bed this time. Have a good night.

Just checking in for Monday Morning. The weekend was uneventful, as usual. They've made some changes at OleAlvin's job and this week he is having to work 12 hours a day 7-7. So since he got up early, I did too. I shoule be productive and get some stuff done around here, but will I?

I did make it to exercise 5 days last week, and that's the plan for this week too. I hate it that I let myself get OUT of that habit. But enough excuses, as Nike says JUST DO IT!!!

Hope everyone has a great OP day.

Wink Hot!

Good morning ladies, can you spell hot? Wow, it is a burner already this morning, or it may be because I have been busy.

I vacuumed the den and kitchen, cleaned the hall bathroom and mopped the kitchen. I wanted to do that early cause even with air conditioning it is so hot. Now I have had my shower and don't want to do any more work. LOL!

I don't think we are ever going to get rain again. We have had a quater of an inch since mid April.

Made it through the weekend without falling off the wagon. Yah me! Today has started out good, now to keep it that way.

No baby yet? We are all waiting for an announcement Terri.

Well, ladies I think I will go and clean out the fridge and throw away some leftovers. Time to start fresh with veggies. Ta for now, Ruth

Howdy,

I am here to report that I did 20 minutes on the borecycle. Twenty! No excuses now. I'll work up to 30 by sometime next week.

I've showered, fed the horses, let momma-to-be out, and sorted through bills. I've got my oatmeal on the stove so no temptations at the work cafeteria.

I'm beginning to think she is just fat and no baby. She made a beeline for the hay and established who was the boss immediately once she got back with the others. So she's feeling good and that baby ain't coming out. I don't really expect it until later this week. It was mom who sent me into a panic last week that it was going to happen right then while I was at work. Thanks ma!

Going to be hot here too. We've been lucky the last couple of summers which either no 100's or just a day or so. So when we finally get hit with it, it is such a shock. However, it has been helping that I go out and make myself work in it each day. Not for long though.

Ha, Brad Pitt just said on TV that he's sick of himself. Tell the mags that we are too!

Oops, looking at the clock, I better get a move on.

Have a great OP day!

Terri - on the clean sheets thing, I certainly agree! ...unless the puppy gets there first! LOL ah, well, I see still no baby. I guess I'll just go stare at mine.

I'm going to try studying at the picnic table in the shade, where I can still see my boys out mowing the field. I hope I can keep my nose in the book enough. If not, I'll go to the library.

Went to the doc this morning and I think I have a crush for the first time in a hundred years. Hopefully he gave me good enough drugs that we'll knock this broncitis out and I won't get to go see him for a long time. But I tell you what, he could take my pulse ANY time.

I'm not eating OP very well - I just had a bagel to reduce the effect of the antibiotics in my stomach - but I'm still not eating very much, and I'm drinking tons. I'll go shopping today so there are some better choices in the house, and once I'm feeling a bit better I'll focus more on sticking to plan.

Later, ladies...

Angry

Good Afternoon Ladies!

This will be a rather quick post, since I'm in a totally FOUL mood and I don't mean ! According to the scale this morning I've GAINED 7.4 lbs since last Wednesday! 3 lbs since YESTERDAY!

I admit it. I ate like a pig this weekend. But NO ONE gains 7.4 lbs in 5 days! You'd think I laid on my back and sucked on a big hunk of lard over the weekend. It isn't my official WI day, so I still am allowing myself to believe it may change.

No infernal machine this weekend for me. Friday and Saturday was Shakespeare in the Park and my SCA group does a demo those days so I was out in the park for hours in my floor-length, long-sleeved gown (Thank GOD for Linen) and was hot, tired and miserable by the time I got home so .... Then Sunday, DH and I got started on chores. We were going to just unpack and repack the camping equiptment, which turned into a full-fledged garage cleaning - again, in the ungodly heat! Barely made a dent in it. I worked until 7 and then had promised to give my friend's daughter a driving lesson - she's 16 next month - so that was that for the day.

And that brings me to today. Garage is still a mess, but I have to work and the heat index is 110 - so I won't be doing anything outside. I may try to get to the IM tonight. Assuming it'll hold my gigantic a$$!

Yep - foul mood!

I woke up this morning feeling pretty awful. Weak and achey and light-headed. I thought I wouldn't make it to the gym this morning but after a little breakfast I tied on my sneakers and went. Once I am there I seem to fall into some kind of zombie-like trance and am able to keep up the pace. Ater the gym I felt tired but much better.

It was a good weekend for the diet. Stayed OP. I am happy about that, even though the scale didn't budge. Actually, it went up a pound. Weird.

We spent the weekend repairing the mess the pup created in the yard. It looks good now, better than before.

So, all's well except that I feel quite weak.

Lilion, I am sure most of it is water.

God bless everyone,

Celery

Non-eventful day at work. let's wait and see what tomorrrow brings. supposed to be the "big" doctor meeting. I'm on the side voting that nothing will come of it, and it will be crazy as usual, but others seem to think changes are in the wind. Hold on to your hats!!!

Starting another week with the exercise habit. I was a little late and only had time for 25 minutes in the pools, but that's IS 25 minutes.

Hi all! ....TERRI, we're waaaaaaaaitingggg... or should I say Ginger???

Since the doc I've still felt pretty blah, but I did an hour long riding lesson during which I'm constantly moving, then I worked with Gabe and if you'd seen the way he acted today you'd understand why I'm counting it as exercise - took all of me to hold the beast. (Six year old Emma hanging on the gate says "Ooooo, he's scarin' me" and I said 'Yeah! Me too!" but he was just feeling his oats.) Then I caught the pony stallion (no halter-duh!) that's new at the barn to visit the pony mare. (Poor boy sure is trying hard, but getting no where so far. She's willing, he just can't figure out which end is which.) Then when I came home poor Bill wasstill trying to fill in the new culvert at the end of the drive that he spent all day putting in, so I spent another 15 minutes pounding stone gravel. In the end I'm gonna give myself 105 minutes of exercise for the day. Pretty good for a day when I still feel like the bus didn't see me when it pulled up to the stop, and I'm still wishing it would pull away and get off me!

LILION, you're right! There's no way it could be genuine, so just drink that water, or better cran-water, to flush your system out. Jump on the I.M. and rev it up for a few minutes. Then your next official WI should be fine. And if not? Then the best time to start working on getting those ounces back off is... when?

BARB, a day with out your posts is like a day without a favorite soap. I don't watch them, but now I understand the addiction. =D

CELERY - scales are weird. I'm sure a pound is nothing to worry about in such a short run, especially when this heat is making everybody puff up a bit. Glad you felt better after the gym. It's great that it works that way!

Ms RUTH - You are a tower of ambition. Your house must look lovely with all that attention. Sure beats going out in the heat though, doesn't it??

HUGS TO EVERYONE. C-YA TOMORROW!

Hi girls!

Just a quickie to let you know I haven't burned up in this inferno we're having. It's been in the HIGH 90's for 4 days now and I'm telling ya, I can go from 0 to B**** in 60 seconds in this heat! This week it's time for PMSing IF Mother Nature decides to bother messing with me this month so I have THAT to look forward to as well as the heat!!! OyVey!!!

Honey and I worked at the theatre all weekend. I had to play "showgirl" by myself during the day and then he joined me in the evening. (He doesn't look too good as a "showgirl" BTW, doesn't have the legs for it! )

We had to do the sneak preview for Monster House on Saturday night. Very strange movie. I mean, I get the story and all, but it's animated and not really for little kids at all. This house eats everything that steps on its lawn!!! I would think that it would scare the pants off little kids so if you've got 'em, little kids that is, please go preview the movie on your own before subjecting them to it. There, that is my public service announcement for the day.

I've been working right along all week. I'm a bit of a slacker this week though. Honey is taking off work on Wednesday as we're having the carpet laid in our two new rooms. I will have to think of something clever to call them. For any of you that have seen Failure to Launch, you will get the fact that Honey and I refer to them as our "naked rooms". #1 Son thinks that's hysterical as he's seen the movie too. I told him if he's sees we've installed a large aquarium he'll know what happened.

The painting in both of them is done and Honey pulled up the old carpet while I worked this weekend. I'm excited to get my "evil" machine back up. Hopefully I will actually use it some. We're going to put my AirWalker up in there too and I want to get a cheap TV and VCR/DVD player so that I can have all of my exercise stuff together in one room. Then all I'll have to do is actually climb the stairs and go in there. What do you think the chances are???? Slim to nill???? Yeah, that's what I'm thinking too.

Oh, BTW, I'm down 2.3 pounds this week. Now the goal is to keep that 2+ off and lose some more. No more UP and down and UP and down I hope. I think if I stick to one nice BIG salad for a meal each day I'll make it.

I tried out the Tendergrill Chicken Garden Salad at Burger King today. So that's my fast food offering for the day.
From Dotti's:
Tendergrill Chicken Garden Salad [w/o Dressing Or Garlic Parmesan Toast] (230 cal/8 g fat/3 g fiber/11 g carbs) 4.5
Ken's Border Ranch Dressing [2 Oz] (110 cal/8 g fat/0 g fiber/7 g carbs) 3 Garlic Parmesan Toast (70 cal/2.5 g fat/0 g fiber/9 g carbs) 1.5

I only used 1/2 of the dressing so that's 7.5 points. I discovered I really prefer the Asian Chicken Salad from McDonald's though, tastier ingredients, more variety of flavors, just a better salad altogether.

Well, girls, I'm heading downstairs to hang some jeans and throw another load in the laundry before going UP the 3 flights of stairs to bed. I'll talk to you all soon. Love ya bunches!

Sorry, guys, just getting ready to go away.

We are going up to Stratford, going to see South Pacific and Henry IV Part 1 (my favorite history play!), staying at a 100 yr old organic farm outside the city, then heading down to Niagrar on the Lake to spend too much money.

I didn't lose any weight on Sunday, I don't seem to be on track - I think it's a combination of weather, getting ready to break my routine, and work being weird - I have all the assignments, but everybody I need to get information from is all tied up.
This is the perfect time to get away; maybe my disposition will have improved by Sunday.
Write you all next week.
