Default Turbo jam question

Hi all:

I am new here and just posted my first post on the general forum. I just ordered Turbo Jam last week and was wondering if those of you who have tried it are very overweight (like me- 50+ pounds) and how hard has it been to do the moves with all the extra weight? I can see myself gasping for air as I do it but it looks like fun so I'm going to try at least. I loathe exercise!!

Thanks,
Coco

Coco-you can do it! They have a low impact section in the video. I have been doing it for a couple of months and lost over 11 inches and 6 lbs. I love it.

I'm big too, and I did the Learn and Burn lastnight with no problem at all. The only thing I modified was the jumprope, but I'm sure I can do that...I just didn't know it was coming and didn't feel brave enough to do it.

Well I just got mine yesterday and used it yesterday and today (the Learn and Burn). I think you can do it. One of the gals on there is demonstrating the modified version if you don't feel you can go all out.

I agree with everyone's advise. I am a BIG girl and just follow the low impact style. I have had no problems doing the moves. I have even graduated to doing some of the moves high impact. You can do it, and you will LOVE it.

Keep pushing play!

My first workout I was amazed at how hard it was. I used to do Kathy Smith videos (I got them from my grandma ) and they were obscenely easy. This was...excrutiantingly hard! I feel relaxed after doing it though. And I'm a big girl, to put it delicately. You can do it!

To quote DanceDanceRevolution (my secondary workout choice) : Jam on in!

I was about 30lbs overweight when I started. It's not hard to do these workouts. The main thing to remember is JUST MOVE! If you can't keep up, even with the modified/low pace workout just keep moving. I had to do it a few times. All I did was keep moving cause sometimes they go a little fast. Before you know it you'll be keeping up and then moving up to high impact. Good luck CocoG!!!

Oh, yay! I was feeling like I might be the only person who was struggling with even the "burn" part. *sigh* But now I know there are other strugglers out there too. And if you can get better at it, so can I!
