Default Newbie / flex points question

Hi everyone!

I'm new here and I have a question:

I'm doing WW at home, it's my fourth week and so far I haven't lost much. But it's ok, I'm losing and that's all that matters. I weigh in on Tuesdays and usually save up most of my flex points for the weekend so I can go out and eat and drink.

Well, this weekend I stayed in and I have this huge amount of flex points left (31) and I don't know what to do. I know they recommend to eat them all but I'm not hungry today (and I still have 2 points of my daily allowance left) and I hate going over my points on Mondays before the weigh in.

So that leaves Sunday. What do you think? Should I just eat what I feel like eating and go maybe 5 or 6 points over or should I go crazy and eat all of my flex points?

My stats:

height: 5'5" or 5'6" - not quite sure
highest weight: 166 lbs
WW start weight: 163 lbs
current weight: 161 lbs
goal weight: ?? I want to lose 10% first and then see if I like it or if I need to lose more

Hi..I'm doing WW online too. I hardly ever use my all of my daily points allowance let alone the extra flex points. To my understanding the flex points are really there for those times when you may really need them. Otherwise, you don't have to use them. When I first started I lost 7 lbs and then the weeks after my body regulated to 1-2 lbs per week which is normal. If you don't feel hungry, that's great, you don't have to eat then. Wait until you do start to feel hungry and eat sensible. Don't let your weigh in day get you down. Eat healthy and exercise as usual the days prior and that way when you step on the scale, whether you lose weight or not, you'll know you still had a good week. There's always going to be times when you get on the scale and feel some disappointment, but that's when you make a change by maybe trying a new recipe or changing your exercise routine a little. I'd be happy to swap email addy's with you. Let me know!

Hi. I think I remember someone saying (on another thread in ww section) that you should try to use some of them but wow....31 is alot of extra pts to divide up in a few days to weigh in. Eat what you feel comfortable with, and then re-start your week again. good luck with your weighin.

From what I remember, and it has been a while, when WW first came out with the Points system, it didn't have any flex points with it. When I attended the meetings they said we could use all of them, some of them, or none of them. So I wouldn't worry about it. If you don't use them be proud of yourself!
